Home bound pet sitter living in Fonthill, Ontario

About this sitter

Hello my name's Madison Coyle and I'm a very bored 23 year old Canadian woman looking to start home sitting. Just to get it out there, I haven't officially sat for anyone yet, but I'm a self employed creative/graphic/web designer with a cat and a very demanding elderly dog at home, so you could say I have some experience.

Since I'm just starting out, I'm looking for easygoing, beginner-friendly animals (with the exception of rabbits, that's a challenge I'm willing to take on as I've had one of my own) for homeowners with high maintenance hyperactive animals, I'd look elsewhere but I don't have a problem with pets on strict routines. Cats, dogs, reptiles, and other small pets who are generally chill and used to people are preferred, but I'm very squeamish with bigger dogs that slobber, this is a major dealbreaker for me.

I'm looking for a place preferably out of my province and a home with strong wifi for work and accessibility to public transportation. As long as your house isn't infested with creatures that you don't want and has running water anything is on the table for me. Long term stays are preferred.

I'm a self-conscious individual which comes at an advantage for home sitting, so you won't have to worry about coming home to a messy house or neglected animals. I'll send you photos and updates so you're not stressing the whole time and house work is not a problem for me, gardening is another story but I'm willing to learn.

Why they want to house sit

I've never known a house without animals in it, so this kind of work just makes sense. As someone who's been through one too many grueling Ontario winters, I'm hoping to use house sitting as a way to escape to warmer climates during the cold months, and cooler ones in the summer. I've also wanted an excuse to travel without being a nuisance to locals so what better way to do that then to take care of their house and pets no? My hobbies include drawing landscapes and exercising once in awhile so nice views are appreciated.

Their experience

My experience with pet sitting is limited, but I have taken care of other people's high maintenance pets with the help of family. When it comes to animals in my home, I have had a rabbit, lizard, 2 cats, a dog, budgies, hamsters, and guinea pigs to name a few. I currently live with and take care of an elderly shih tzu yorkie dog and a socially anxious Siberian mix cat.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'm reliable, easygoing, trustworthy, and don't mind doing the unenjoyable stuff. So I'll stay on top of feeding schedules, litter boxes clean ups, and other routines. I'm home thanks to my work schedule, so you won't have to worry about your pets being left alone, like that Christmas movie. You also won't have to worry about not hearing from me since my phone is attached to my hip, so expect regular updates and photos. Your house is my house for the time I'm there so it will be treated as such! Since I live with my parents I don't have to worry about my pets at home not being taken care of so I can commit fully to whatever length of stay you need, in fact I prefer it..
