About this sitter

I’m a friendly, responsible and independent 58 year old mother of 2 beautiful daughters, 24 and 30 years old, plus one grandson. I also have 3 of my own cats who are my 'other children'. My youngest lives with me and will care for them when I am away.
I have always lived my life as an adventure. I love traveling and experiencing the new.
I lived in England for 14 years and have traveled quite a bit, so I’m very comfortable being away from home and adapting to new surroundings. I’m open to house sits in different locations and of different lengths, particularly those involving pets. I’m looking for opportunities where I can enjoy a new area while giving homeowners the peace of mind that their home and animals are being genuinely cared for while they’re away.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting combines several things I really enjoy, animals, travel and experiencing new places as a local rather than simply as a tourist. I love the idea of being able to explore somewhere new while also providing something valuable in return. Having pets of my own, I know how much easier it is to leave home when you know your animals are comfortable in their own surroundings with someone you can trust. I’d love to be that person for someone else.

Their experience

Yes. I have experience caring for homes and pets for family, friends and others while they are away, including overnight and extended stays. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs and following their normal feeding, walking and daily routines. I understand that every animal has its own personality and needs, and I’m happy to follow detailed instructions from their owners. I also provide house and pet sitting through my own small service business, Done & Dusted, so caring responsibly for someone else’s home and animals is something I take seriously.

What can they bring to the assignment

Most importantly, reliability and peace of mind. I will treat your home with respect and your pets with the same care and affection I would want someone to give my own. I’m clean, organized, responsible and comfortable handling things independently. I’m also a good communicator and am very happy to send regular photos and updates while you’re away if needed, because I know I’d want the same! I’ll follow your routines and instructions rather than expecting your pets or household to adapt to me. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing that your home is secure, your pets are happy, and everything is being taken care of.
