About this sitter

We are a couple—I am from Catalonia (Spain) and my husband is from Navarre (Spain)—who met on the Camino de Santiago. Some time ago, we took two wonderful trips: a six-month backpacking journey through South America and a five-and-a-half-month van trip along the Mediterranean coast, traveling almost as far as Turkey. We’ve taken short getaways with our son, who is now five years old. We have done other trips in our motorhome and we love exploring new possibilities like a house sit in order to be able to spend a bit more time in a place, working (I work as an online teacher) and taking care of a house and animals as a local. We speak Spanish, and I (Ana) also speak Catalan, English, German, and a little bit of French.

Why they want to house sit

This is the perfect opportunity for us to show the world to our child while he learns to love other countries, cultures and animals.

Their experience

I have always lived with pets (dogs and cats) at home when I was a child (Ana) and I would love to share this experience with our child while travelling. My mother has a dog and we often visit her, so our son is used to interacting with pets.
Apart from this, we already participated in other collaborative platforms in South America and here in Spain ir order to stay in different locations and homes and we had always a positive experience.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are a very respectful family, tidy and reliable. I am working remotely 3 hours a day (Ana) and my husband is retired, so we have enough time and availability in order to take care of your animals.

Our son is old enough in order to understand rules regarding the animals and he is used to interacting with pets.
