About this sitter

We are Nadine and Jono, a married couple in our 60s. We love adventures, travel, gym, walking, mountains, nature, food and cinema. After running a maintenance garden business for 20 years - We still work part-time Jono as a gardener and me as a massage therapist and doing events for a private chef and in and around Oxford. We live in Charlbury in the Cotswolds and we love it round here as we have great pubs, walks and are surrounded by beautiful countryside. In former lives Jono was a photographer and I was a restaurant manager then TV producer - we have both lived in London and then met on a sponsored bike ride for the Tite Inn in Chadlington within a year of both moving back to Oxon where we had lived before we left to seek fame and fortune. We are both kind and generous with gentle hearts and an artistic lean and feel we are both spirits having a human experience. We are also organised, reliable and a safe pair of hands. For my 60th we walked the entire length of the Camino de Santiago through northern Spain and travelled down by train through France leaving from our front door with our packs on. We would love a house sit in an interesting area with either access to the countryside or the beach. We enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, real fires and some outdoor space and a good local pub.

Why they want to house sit

We love adventures and this would be a great way to visit interesting and new places both at home and abroad and to enjoy the feeling of being a local there. We are both animal lovers.

Their experience

We have house sat for friends and family and looked after peoples' houses, gardens and pets when they go on holiday. We enjoy both dogs and cats and have also looked after chickens and rabbits for family members. We look after my neighbours house, garden and her cat Freddie when she goes on holiday. We can easily provide references on request.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are a reliable and steady couple. We are neat and tidy - We have both worked as gardeners so can look after plants and keep things tidy in the garden. Jono's family ran a local butchers and grocery shop and he used to keep chickens to provide eggs and for the business. Jono also ran an outdoor lido in the Cotswolds and has experience of managing a swimming pool. We are house proud and don't mind a bit of cleaning.
