About this sitter

My name is Beatrice. I am French and have lived in the United States for many years. I recently retired after a long career as an automotive engineer. My husband Randy is American and is a retired hydrologist.
We both love animals and have had cats and dogs over the years. We are non-smokers, quiet, responsible and very respectful of other people's homes. Randy also enjoys gardening and taking care of plants.
We are mainly looking for longer house sits, ideally a month or more, although we are open to shorter stays. We enjoy both city and countryside locations, especially places where we can walk, hike and explore the surrounding area.

Why they want to house sit

We have been traveling extensively since the beginning of 2026 and have discovered that we much prefer staying in one place for a while rather than moving every few days.
House sitting gives us the opportunity to experience a place more like locals, while also helping someone feel comfortable leaving their home and pets in good hands. We also miss having animals around us while we travel, so caring for someone's pets is something we genuinely enjoy.

Their experience

We are new to house-sitting platforms, but we are not new to caring for animals or other people's homes.
We have both owned cats and dogs. I had my cat Oreo for many years and I also cared for my son's cat Tundra for several months. We are comfortable with feeding, litter care, walks and giving animals the attention and affection they need.
We also travel frequently and have stayed in many Airbnb homes. Our hosts have consistently given us excellent reviews for communication and for leaving their homes very clean and tidy. We are happy to share these reviews as references.
We understand that being trusted with someone's home and pets is a responsibility, and we take that trust seriously.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are responsible, practical and calm people. We will care for your home as we would for our own and follow your instructions for your pets and home carefully.
We both love animals and understand that each pet has its own personality and routine. We are happy to give owners regular updates while they are away.
Randy enjoys gardening and is comfortable caring for plants and a garden. We are also both used to dealing with everyday problems independently when they arise.
Most importantly, we want homeowners to be able to leave knowing that their home and animals are being well cared for.
