About this sitter

My name is Aitana Hidalgo, I'm a 24-year-old poetry teacher and musician. I have a sincere love of all things nature, I love tending to plants and animals and making them feel special. I spend lots of time outdoors, gardening and admiring the flora and fauna. I'm looking to stay in Europe for a while to work on my music and get to know the lovely people and landscapes. Why they want to house sit

I'm a citizen of the European Union through my mother's side, yet have never had the pleasure of visiting the continent. I feel as though there is something special waiting for me there that must explore! I'm hoping to expand my artistry and my community while I'm there- appreciating the history, busking, writing, and meeting new people.

Their experience

I have 10 years of experience caring for cats/dogs/birds, and some experience tending to horses and cattle at a small local farm. I love farm animals and often go to my local horse stable to sing and play instruments for them. I have a green thumb and you can trust that I'll be just as invested in taking care of any plants you might have. I am the go-to petsitter of all my friends because I take my time getting to know the temperament of their critters and therefore really treat them as they like.

What can they bring to the assignment

I really feel as though I'm someone that can care for any creature- I'm very patient by nature and genuinely care enough to pace myself, earn their trust, listen to their mood, and create a safe bond with them. I keep my spaces tidy and will fill your home with music and care. Your plants will feel loved. Above all else I will show up with a lot of gratitude and honor our exchange- I think it's a sacred thing to be trusted with one's living space and I treat it as such.
