Hi! I’m Katja. I live with my family in a quiet, charming little village near Stuttgart, Germany. My daughter is 21 now, so I have a lot of time. Traveling and animals are two of my absolute favorite things in life, and I am so excited to finally combine these two passions through house-sitting!Cats have been my absolute passion for over two decades. Over the last 20 years, I have owned, loved, and cared for cats, which has given me a deep understanding of their unique body language, moods, and individual needs. Currently, I am a proud cat mom to four wonderful furballs: Ivy (3), Yoshi (3), Crumble (1), and our youngest, Cookie the kitten.

While I am embarking on my first formal, professional house-sitting assignments, I have over 20 years of hands-on experience owning, loving, and caring for cats. I currently live with my family and our four cats—Ivy (3), Yoshi (3), Crumble (1), and Cookie the kitten—so daily cat care, routines, and managing different personalities are second nature to me.

My experience goes far beyond basic feeding and playtime:

Specialized Senior & Medical Care: I have a deep commitment to caring for vulnerable cats. For two years, we lovingly nursed our own kidney-diseased cat until she passed away at the age of 16, making me very familiar with specialized care and managing poor appetite. We also opened our hearts to a chronically ill little kitten named Ori; we nursed him closely for 6 months, doing everything possible in collaboration with our veterinarian to give him a beautiful, loving quality of life before we had to say goodbye.

Understanding Cat Behavior: Having spent two decades around felines, I deeply respect their unique body language and moods. I know how to handle high-energy kittens as well as shy or anxious cats who need a calm, patient presence and time to warm up at their own pace.
