Clean, Reliable Professional Available for House & Pet Sitting in NYC

About this sitter

I’m a Italian/French professional currently based in New York City, and I’m looking for a short-term (3 - 4 months) house sitting opportunity from December 2026 through the end of March 2027.

I’m clean, responsible, respectful and very attentive to the home I’m staying in. I’m a non-smoker, organized and used to taking good care of my living environment. I would be happy to look after a home, plants, mail and pets if needed.

I’m particularly interested in opportunities in Manhattan and downtown Manhattan nearby areas, ideally for several weeks or months. I’m looking for a genuine exchange where I can provide peace of mind to homeowners while they are away, and in return have a comfortable place to stay.

I’m flexible and happy to discuss the specific responsibilities and expectations of each house sit. My priority is to find a trustworthy, respectful arrangement that works well for both sides.

Why they want to house sit

I want to house sit because I genuinely enjoy living in a clean, organized and comfortable/cosy environment, and I love taking care of the space around me.

Over the past few years, I have had several different living situations and shared apartments, and I’ve sometimes found it challenging to live with roommates whose standards of cleanliness and organization were very different from mine. I’ve realized that I’m happiest when I can maintain a peaceful, tidy and well-kept home.

House sitting feels like a great fit for me because I would be able to enjoy and care for a home as if it were my own, while also providing homeowners with peace of mind while they are away. I’m naturally very respectful of other people’s property.

I also really like the idea of building a genuine exchange based on trust and responsibility, rather than simply renting a place for a short period of time.

Their experience

While I am relatively new to house sitting as a formal arrangement, I have experience living independently and alone taking care of my own home or appartement in Paris.

I am truly respectful of other people’s belongings and understand the importance of following a homeowner’s instructions and routines.

I am also comfortable with everyday household responsibilities such as keeping the home tidy, caring for plants, collecting mail and making sure everything is well looked after while the owners are away.

I am reliable, reactive, smart, sharp minded, attentive and very happy to communicate regularly with homeowners to give them peace of mind during their time away.

I can bring reliability, responsibility, attention to detail and genuine care for the home.

I am a hands-on person. I enjoy keeping a space tidy, comfortable and well maintained, and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty when something needs to be done. I’m quite handy and can take care of small repairs, painting, filling holes or cracks, basic DIY tasks and general maintenance.

I’m also happy to take care of everyday household tasks such as cleaning, ironing, organizing, looking after plants, l and taking care of pets (of course) if needed.

I really enjoy creating a home that feels cozy and pleasant. I love when a space smells fresh and welcoming, and I’m a big fan of candles and creating a warm atmosphere.

Most importantly, I would treat someone else’s home with a lot of respect and care, as if it were my own. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions or routines, while keeping the owners updated so they can feel completely comfortable while they are away.
