We’re Catherine and Scott, an active American couple in our 60s who divide our time between Ireland, the United States, and traveling throughout the world. We love animals, the outdoors, exploring new places and experiencing life as locals when we travel. We are seeking pet sitting opportunities throughout Europe and the United States during the upcoming year.

Why they want to house sit

As home/pet owners ourselves, we understand the peace of mind that comes from knowing your home and animals are in responsible, caring hands while you are away. We would love the opportunity to experience new places as locals rather than simply as tourists, while providing that same reassurance to other pet owners.

We are active, responsible and experienced travelers, and at this stage of our lives we have the flexibility to spend longer periods in different places. For us, pet sitting is an ideal combination of travel, companionship, caring for animals and meaningfully experiencing a community.

Their experience

We have been involved with animal rescue, fostering, training and caring for dogs with a variety of personalities and needs. We understand that every animal has its own routine, temperament and quirks, and we take seriously the trust involved in caring for someone’s beloved pet. We founded an animal rescue in Ireland and cared for the animals for a number of years. We are active and enjoy long daily walks, so caring for dogs that need regular exercise is a natural fit. As both home/rental property owners, we are conscientious about caring for your house. We have considerable experience with home maintenance and are comfortable handling the everyday issues that can arise while owners are away. We are reliable, responsible and impeccably neat, and we will treat your home with the utmost care and respect.

We bring a great combination of life experience, energy, reliability and genuine love for animals! We’re friendly, active and love the outdoors, so daily walks, exercise and playtime are something we truly enjoy. Our backgrounds are suitable for the care of different breeds/sizes of dogs and other animals.
