About this sitter

Hi! I’m Kieran, a recent computer science master’s graduate and researcher based around Chicago. I’m responsible, independent, pretty quiet, and genuinely enjoy taking care of animals. I’m looking for house sits that give me the chance to spend some real time in new places while having a comfortable home base to work on my research and other projects. I’m flexible about location and especially enjoy getting to experience a place as a temporary local rather than just passing through as a tourist.

Why they want to house sit

I love traveling and exploring new places, but I especially like slower travel where I can actually settle into an area for a little while. House sitting feels like a really nice combination of that independence and my long history of caring for pets and homes. I also genuinely enjoy having animals around, so getting to travel while keeping someone’s pets comfortable in their own home is a pretty ideal arrangement for me.

Their experience

Yes! I ran a small pet, house, and babysitting business in my neighborhood from about ages 12–18 and continued sitting occasionally for neighbors while I was in college. I grew up with dogs and have also cared for cats, hamsters, fish, rabbits, and birds. More recently, I worked for Chicago Pet Club for about six months as a professional dog walker and pet sitter, regularly entering clients’ homes, following detailed care instructions, and making sure both the pets and the home were well looked after.

What can they bring to the assignment

I’m dependable, respectful of other people’s spaces, and very comfortable handling the day-to-day routines that come with pets and a home. I’m happy to follow detailed feeding, walking, medication, cleaning, mail, plant, or household instructions and to keep owners updated while they’re away. Because I’ve spent years being trusted with both animals and people’s homes, I take that responsibility seriously. I want you to come home to happy pets and your house exactly as you left it.
