Reliable & friendly sitter(s) from Germany

About this sitter

I’m 54 years old and live in Germany with my husband and our teenage son. I love discovering the world and have the great advantage of being able to work remotely when needed. A laptop, a good Wi-Fi connection and I are therefore quite travel-friendly. 😉

I have some experience with animals, even though we don’t currently have a four-legged family member of our own. So I’d be very happy to enjoy some animal company again.

Ideally, I’d love to bring my little family along for the house sitting. My husband and I are pretty easy-going housemates, and our teenager is now old enough that we don’t have to supervise him around the clock. 😉 Perhaps this little family setup could work for the right house-sitting opportunity.

As our son is still at school, we are somewhat tied to the German school holidays. On the plus side, we are particularly flexible during those periods and would love the chance to experience a new home, a new environment

Why they want to house sit

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to travel to many beautiful places around the world – and yet my bucket list is still far from empty. 😉 There are simply still so many countries, cities and little corners of the world that I’d love to discover.

However, life has one little quirk: sometimes the travel budget runs out faster than the desire to travel. That’s one of the reasons I find house sitting so appealing.

For me, it’s the perfect combination of travelling, discovering new places and having the feeling of actually living somewhere for a while, rather than simply passing through as a tourist. I love the idea of taking good care of someone’s home, looking after plants or pets, and at the same time experiencing a country and its people in a much more authentic way.

And if house sitting also helps to stretch the travel budget a little further, leaving more money for great experiences and adventures along the way, that’s certainly a very welcome bonus. 😊

I’m very happy to follow your routines and instructions and make sure everything is well looked after while you’re away.
