I’m Isabel, 29, from Leipzig, Germany. I’m a cheerful and open-minded person who loves meeting people, having meaningful conversations and exchanging experiences. I’m also very helpful and I really like the idea behind house sitting: helping each other and creating a situation where everyone benefits.
I have a big heart for animals, especially dogs, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. ❤️
At the moment, I’m planning to spend around four months in Asia during the winter. Since I work remotely full-time (40 hours a week), I’m mainly looking for a peaceful place where I can work comfortably, slow down a little and stay for a while rather than constantly moving from place to place.
For me, a house sit is a lovely combination of having a calm home base, discovering a new place and taking good care of someone’s home and pets while they’re away.
I love the idea of house sitting because it feels much more personal than simply staying in a hotel or Airbnb. You get the chance to experience a place more like a local, have a real home base and at the same time help someone by taking care of the things that matter to them.
I’m planning to spend around four months in Asia this winter and, as I work remotely, I’m looking for a peaceful and comfortable environment where I can settle in for a while.
And honestly, I’m also really excited about the animal side of it. I absolutely love dogs and would be very happy to have a furry companion around while I’m abroad. 🐶
I think house sitting is a beautiful exchange of trust: I get to experience a new place and spend time with animals, while the owners can enjoy their time away knowing that their home and pets are being cared for.
I haven’t done a lot of traditional house sitting yet, so I want to be honest about that. However, I do have experience with many of the responsibilities that come with it.
I spent several years babysitting, which taught me to be responsible, reliable and attentive to someone else’s needs and routines.
In 2024, I also spent one month doing a Workaway in Indonesia, where I helped out and took care of a house while living there. It gave me a good feeling for what it means to look after someone else’s home and treat it with care.
I also have my own apartment in Germany, so I understand how important it is to have someone respectful and trustworthy looking after your home while you’re away. I’m very happy to learn and follow any specific routines or instructions you have.
I’m someone who likes to be helpful and take initiative, so I’m happy to contribute wherever I can.
I can cook, keep the house clean and tidy, take care of pets and help with general household tasks. I’m also quite creative and enjoy finding practical solutions when something needs to be done.
I’m comfortable with basic garden care as well. My parents and grandparents taught me from a young age how to look after a garden, so watering plants, taking care of flowers and keeping things in order are things I’m familiar with.
Most importantly, I bring reliability, care and a lot of positive energy. I would treat your home with the same respect and attention I would give to my own, and I’d make sure your pets receive plenty of love, company and attention while you’re away.
