About this sitter

I’m Aida, an English teacher living in Spain. I have two grown-up daughters and at this stage of my life I have the freedom to travel and spend longer periods away from home. I’m particularly interested in longer house sits, although I’m also open to shorter ones. I love the sea, nature and discovering new places, and I’m equally happy in a quiet rural setting or somewhere closer to a town. Most importantly, I enjoy living with animals and would like a house sit where I can feel at home while taking good care of someone else’s home and pets.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting appeals to me because it gives me the chance to experience a place as someone living there rather than as a tourist. I like the idea of having a home base, looking after animals and becoming familiar with the local area. I now have enough flexibility in my life to spend several weeks or even a few months away, so longer house sits suit me especially well.

Their experience

I’m new to house sitting through a platform, but I’m certainly not new to animals. I have lived with and cared for both cats and dogs for many years and currently have pets of my own. I understand that every animal has its own personality and routine, and I’m happy to follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I’m also used to looking after a home and dealing sensibly with the ordinary things that can arise.

What can they bring to the assignment

I’m responsible, independent and practical, and I would treat your home with the same care and respect as my own. I’m affectionate with animals and enjoy their company, but I also respect their individual habits and temperament. I can offer reliability, plenty of time and attention, and good communication with owners while they are away. I speak Spanish,English and Croatian and I have my own car, which also gives me considerable flexibility.
