About this sitter

Hello! We are María and Claudiu, a married couple living in Friedberg, Germany. We are both teachers and enjoy travelling, discovering new places and spending time with animals.

We share our life with Kuss, our 16-year-old Maltese dog. Caring for him has taught us how important patience, daily routines and attention to an animal’s individual needs are. He travels with us, and we use a dog stroller for his outings. We would therefore only arrange a house sit where our own dog is welcome and compatible with the resident pets.

We are looking for opportunities during our school holidays, preferably in Europe. We would be happy to follow your pets’ usual routines, keep your home tidy, water plants and stay in touch with updates while you are away. Before agreeing to a sit, we would like to discuss your animals’ needs carefully to make sure we are a good match.

We are new to MindMyHouse and would be happy to introduce ourselves over a video call.

Why they want to house sit

We like the idea of discovering a place while staying in a real home and enjoying the company of animals. House sitting would allow us to travel more affordably while offering something useful in return: caring for someone’s pets and home while they are away.

As dog owners ourselves, we understand how much it matters to know that your animal is receiving care and attention. We would approach each sit as a responsibility, planning our outings around the pets’ needs and the arrangements agreed with their owners.

Their experience

Our main experience comes from caring for our own dog, Kuss, who is now 16 years old. His care involves daily medication, feeding, gentle outings and attention to his changing needs. This has taught us patience and the importance of following a consistent routine.

We are new to MindMyHouse. We would discuss each pet’s needs honestly with their owners and only accept an assignment we feel confident we can manage.

What can they bring to the assignment

We can offer patience, attention and a thoughtful approach to caring for your pets and home. As teachers, we are used to following routines, organising our time and taking responsibility.

We would follow your instructions carefully, keep food and water bowls clean, provide companionship and arrange walks or playtime according to your pets’ needs. We can also water plants, collect mail and keep your home tidy.

We would be happy to send regular messages and photos so you know how things are going. We travel with our own small senior dog, so we would agree on his presence beforehand and make sure the arrangement works for everyone.
