We are Linda and Andi, originally from the East Coast/New England. Life partners since 2022. Recently retired career professionals, now based in Southern California with our two furbabies. We are both independent, empathic people. Avid readers, infrequent writers, and experienced companions of cats, tropical fish and dogs. Still working on the snakes and horses, though.

Why they want to house sit

Linda: I can combine my two great loves - cats and home design! I genuinely appreciate the care that goes into designing a space. Therefore, I treat every home I visit with the utmost respect. Also, I can experience what's been missing since I retired - a sense of being useful, of giving back. It's humbling and rewarding to connect with the larger world, and the best way to do that is through a companion animal's eyes.

Andi: Pet caring is my way of staying connected to the community. When I was working, my favorite part of the day was greeting the dogs on my route with a truck full of biscuits. Now, I am using my lifelong love for animals and my desire for a meaningful purpose to help other pet owners . For me, keeping your pets safe and happy isn't just a service—it’s a rewarding way to serve the community.

Linda: As an infant, our family cat Baby Boy guarded my crib when I came home from the hospital. It's been like that ever since. I've never been without a cat or several in my life. My cat accompanied me to multiple overseas postings during my diplomatic career. I know about commitment and care, and explaining pet concerns in multiple languages. It's a honor to be trusted with others' cats!.
