Professional creative couple for long-term house & property sitting

About this sitter

We are Mel & Marco, a self-employed creative couple working in architecture, interior design and photography. Our work allows us to live and work internationally, and we enjoy spending longer periods in different places rather than travelling quickly from one destination to the next.

We are responsible, organised and very respectful of the homes we stay in. We are particularly interested in longer-term house and property sits worldwide, including second homes, villas, apartments and countryside properties, ideally without pet care.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting fits naturally into our way of life. We enjoy living in one place for several weeks or months, getting to know the local area and taking care of a home as if it were our own.

For us, it is not simply a way to travel, but a way to live temporarily in a place with responsibility, continuity and respect for the property.

Their experience

Through our professional work in architecture and interior design, we are accustomed to treating high-quality interiors, furniture and materials with care. We are organised, observant and used to taking responsibility for spaces and property.

We are comfortable with general house care, watering plants, basic garden and pool care, receiving mail and deliveries, coordinating tradespeople when necessary, carrying out regular property checks and preparing a home before the owners return.

We are especially suited to longer-term property care and second-home sitting.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring reliability, discretion, good communication and a strong sense of responsibility. As self-employed professionals, we work independently, plan carefully and are used to solving everyday issues calmly and practically.

We are active, non-smoking and enjoy sport, Muay Thai, calisthenics, architecture, art, culture and photography. We work remotely and therefore appreciate quiet, inspiring environments where we can combine our professional work with everyday life in a new place.

Most importantly, we treat every home with the same care and respect we would expect for our own.

We are particularly interested in property-focused assignments, ideally without pet care.
