About this sitter
Hello,
We are John and Hanna, an American–German couple living in our country home near Berlin after eleven years in the Middle East. Although officially retired, we lead active lives and enjoy continuing our work, sharing our experience and meeting new people.
John is a retired art professor with a doctorate from Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and continues to teach painting courses in Germany. Hanna is a medical doctor with a PhD, specialising in general medicine and medical psychotherapy. She works part-time as a consultant in rehabilitation clinics and has a small private psychotherapy practice in Berlin, seeing patients both in person and online.
We share our home with our Saluki and would love to spend some time house-sitting in southern Spain, the Canary Islands, Mallorca or Menorca this winter. As homeowners ourselves, we appreciate how much trust it takes to leave your home in someone else’s care. We would look after yours with the same attention and respect we give our own.

We would like to escape the cold German winter, learn to speak Spanish. Hanna is learning Spanish, we are considering to move to Spain in the future and buy or rent a house.
