About this sitter

Hi, my name is DeAnne Taggart and I'm currently a doctoral candidate at Ball State University near Muncie, Indiana. I'm completing my research and madly writing a dissertation, so I'm in the final steps of the process. I have two "grown & flown" children who, with their respective spouses, have provided me 3 grandsons. I'm seeking two six-month housesitting opportunities. The first in Fishers, Indiana followed by one in Bloomington, Indiana, each lasting six months.
I have been in K-12 education for 30+ years, beginning as a classroom teacher for 17 years. I've also been a central office administrator and am currently a Solutions Specialist at a regional educational service center in Indiana. I've designed and led multiple professional learning opportunities and my experiences continue to contribute to my writing and Ph.D. in Educational Studies.

Why they want to house sit

I think house-sitting would be a cost-efficient way to briefly be close to my children and grands while working toward the finish line for my doctorate degree. I realize it's a long shot opportunity, but I wanted to give it a try. I've also been good with pets, but I'm not necessarily doing this to look after pets. I've had a lifetime of dogs and cats and love all of them, though.
