Hello, I’m Gill (58), a mature, well-travelled British house and pet sitter hoping to spend this winter somewhere warm. I’m happy to consider anywhere sunny in Europe and further afield (max 4 hour time difference from UK).

Why they want to house sit

I love getting to know a place properly, shopping where the locals shop, finding the best walks and settling into the pace of life - house sitting means I can do that for weeks rather than days, while your home and pets get the care they deserve.

I'm also saving to buy a little home of my own and house sitting allows me to save while I do something I love.

Their experience

I’ve been house and pet sitting professionally since 2019 in the UK, France and Spain, for anything from a week to two and a half months. Dogs, cats, chickens and birds, oldies on medication, boisterous cockerpoos and nervous rescues have all been in my care.

Pets take to me from the minute I arrive and I always leave the house immaculate, which is why owners book me again and again. Some of these beautiful souls have added their references to my profile, others can be found in the attachments along with more detailed information about me.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'll be home more than I'm out and my green fingers will keep your plants and garden looking lovely.

I'm very grounded and resilient, and my previous house and pet sitting clients would all describe me as clean, tidy, and organised. I'm also very quiet, so your neighbours won’t know I’m there.

Good to Know:

I work as a Therapeutic Coach on Zoom around eight days a month, so good wifi is a must. The rest of my time is free for walks, cuddles (if you have pets), pottering in the garden, and keeping things ticking over.

I don't smoke, vape or take any substances. Since menopause I rarely drink but I might have the occasional Campari and soda as I watch a golden sunset.

I have a clean driving licence and am confident driving manual and automatic, both left and right hand drive.

Sits with or without pets are welcome. Longer sits are especially welcomed.
