Responsible Pet-Sitter with Years of Experience

About this sitter

I’m Jill, an experienced pet and house-sitter from the US who loves to travel. I'm looking for sits that offer sweet pets, good communication, and interesting locations. I'm an avid hiker, so I have a great time on sits with pups who love to get out and explore. But I'm equally at home cuddling with couch potato pets. I'm a remote worker with a flexible schedule, so I can spend lots of time with your pets and follow their routine.

Why they want to house sit

I started a pet-sitting business in my neighborhood when I was twelve, and it took off in ways I never expected. I've loved taking care of people's pets ever since. In addition to my professional pet care experience, I’ve cared for many of my friends’ and family members’ pets while they're away. When my own beloved dog passed away last year, I signed up for Trusted House-Sitters, and I've had amazing experiences house-sitting through THS over the past few months. I've decided to branch out and join Mind My House as well.

Their experience

I've worked as a pet sitter, dog walker, and dog groomer, as well as a humane society volunteer. I have experience with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, rodents, and birds. I’ve also worked on organic farms around the world and am happy to help care for your houseplants/garden.

What can they bring to the assignment

I love animals of all kinds. I'm laid-back, friendly, and enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places. I understand how hard it can be to leave your pets when you travel, and I promise to give them all the love, company, and fun they need while you're away.

Additional skills/experience:

-I have experience with dog training (positive reinforcement methods).
-I'm certified in pet CPR and first aid.
-I will keep your house tidy.
-I’ve traveled extensively around the world and adapt easily to new environments. I can also drive on either side of the road. :)
-I have a decade of experience with horses.
-I’m into photography and travel with my camera, so I can send you lots of pictures of your pets while you’re away.
-I have experience caring for senior and special needs dogs.
