About this sitter

Hi! I'm Christabel, a creative and lifelong traveler. I grew up across continents, and I'm passionate about food, music, learning, and bringing joy to the people and animals around me.

I love to travel, and I'm looking for longer house sits where I can settle in, look after your home and plants, and make friends with your pets while I work on my creative writing and video projects.

I grew up with a dog and birds (and my neighbors' cat, Adam, was a regular on the block), and later I had my own dog, Bubbles. Pets are family to me.

I'm currently on a sabbatical, so I'm flexible on dates, and I'm a non-smoker and non-drinker.

Why they want to house sit

I'm traveling this year, so I can't have a pet of my own right now, and caring for yours is a real joy. House sitting lets me live like a local. I love settling into a new space, shopping at the neighborhood market, finding the best food spot, and learning the streets on foot. And a pet that makes any place feel like home faster. For me, it's the best way to really experience a place, and it only works because someone trusts me with something they love. Your home and your babies ( Plant or Furry) will be in good hands.

Their experience

I love animals and grew up with a dog and birds, and later raised my own dog, Bubbles. I've cared for a Coton de Tulear, a Goldendoodle, and a Labrador Retriever in their homes, including feeding, walks, playtime, and medication. I'm open to dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, and happy to learn their routine.

I've also house-sat for a few months at a time, too. I watered plants, helped with the garden, cleaned up, brought in the mail, and turned off anything that needed it. You'll come home to a house that's just as you left it. Happy to provide references.

I'm also a great Airbnb guest, with host reviews for leaving spaces spotless and communicating well. I'll water your plants, take in your mail/take out the trash!

I am clean, organized, and responsive. I will take care of your pets, plants, and home like they are my own.

I also work from home and will be attentive to fulfill anything necessary. My schedule is flexible, and I am open to long stays.
