About this sitter

We are Silvia and Marcello, a warm-hearted, responsible and open-minded couple from Switzerland. Together with our lovely dog Nikita, we travel through Europe in our motorhome, enjoying nature, the sea and a peaceful, simple lifestyle.

Marcello has Italian roots, so Italy holds a special place in our hearts.

We both run our own online businesses in the fields of health, wellbeing and personal development, which allows us to work remotely and enjoy a flexible lifestyle.

We are looking for beautiful, peaceful homes where we can stay for several weeks, preferably close to the sea. We especially love places surrounded by nature, with gardens and animals.

Our dog Nikita is a beloved member of our family, so it is important that she is welcome and gets along well with the resident animals.

We value honesty, trust, kindness and mutual respect and would treat your home and animals with the same love and care as our own.

Why they want to house sit

For us, house sitting is a wonderful way to combine our love for animals, travelling and discovering beautiful places.

We prefer slow travel over traditional holidays. Staying in one place for several weeks gives us the opportunity to experience local life, connect with nature and truly enjoy our surroundings.

At the same time, we love the idea of helping homeowners travel with peace of mind, knowing their home and beloved animals are in caring and reliable hands.

We believe house sitting should be a beautiful exchange based on trust, respect and mutual appreciation.

We especially love the sea and dream of spending the winter months in southern Italy, Portugal or the Canary Islands.

Their experience

We bring many years of life experience, responsibility and experience caring for animals.

As dog owners, we are familiar with the daily needs of dogs, including feeding, walking, companionship and attentive care.

Silvia also has experience with horses and is familiar with handling and caring for them. As a complementary therapist, she has experience using Acupoint Massage according to Penzel (APM) with dogs and horses as a gentle, complementary wellbeing approach.

Silvia has worked as a complementary therapist and coach for over 20 years. Marcello is a qualified psychogerontologist, coach and mentor with more than 30 years of experience supporting people and families.

Although we are new to house sitting through this platform, we are mature, trustworthy and independent people who understand the responsibility of looking after someone else's home and animals.

What can they bring to the assignment

Above all, we bring reliability, kindness, patience and genuine love for animals.

We are happy to care for dogs, cats and other animals, take dogs for walks, feed them, give them attention and maintain their usual routines.

Silvia also has experience with horses and holistic animal wellbeing, including Acupoint Massage according to Penzel (APM). If interested, we would be happy to share this experience with pet owners, always with their consent and without replacing veterinary care.

We can also help with watering plants, light gardening, keeping the house clean and tidy, and making sure everything is well looked after while you are away.

We are organised, independent and respectful of other people's homes and privacy. We communicate clearly and are happy to provide regular updates and photos of your pets.

Since we work online, we spend a good amount of time at home, which can be especially comforting for animals who enjoy company.

Our goal is simple: to give homeowners peace of mind and make sure their animals feel safe, loved and happy while they are away.
