Property Manager Flexible to Pet Sit between Travels (New York)

About this sitter

I am an international property manager. Most of my work is seasonal, and so in-between projects, I am open to stays that allow me to be closer to family in NYC, while still maintaining a quiet space for myself.

Why they want to house sit

Housesitting is what I do full-time, it is in my nature. All of the properties I take care of also have pets / livestock, including cats and dogs, and as well as horses, donkeys, chickens, sheep, and more!

Given my seasonal work, I am seeking little gigs in between busy periods to make visiting family easier.

Their experience

For the past four years, I managed five properties full-time between New York, Florida, and Bordeaux-- all of these have included pets/livestock, which I love. Highlights for Dogs & Cats below!

Dog Experience:
For the New York properties, I was the primary caregiver for a loving Pitbull mix. I went to dog training with her for a month to learn how to be a good leader, and then incorporated the training into our daily routines. This was great particularly for city walks and dog park visits as she was a big girl at 64 lbs!

I'd love to hear if there are any tricks or commands you're working on, we can work on those during meal times. Also proud to say I'm successful at adding monthly medications (worm / flea / ticks, etc) to food, that was a learning curve!

Cat Experience:
I grew up with cats, and understand their personalities vary, it seems even more than that of their canine counterparts! Before starting my travel assignments, I took in a stray that lived up to 20yrs of age. Been through it all from cuddles, to play, to passports, to vet appts... what more can I say!

Most recently, I took in a kitten in June, from a cat sanctuary my neighbor runs in Greece. I just brought him over to the states to my mom after raising him this summer, and am looking forward to visiting him in the holidays. :)
