About this sitter
Hi, I'm a 64-year-old female freelance writer and proofreader from Copenhagen, Denmark. At present, looking for:
*A short cat sit IN AMSTERDAM from June 7-11 2024. Please get in touch ASAP :)
*A cat sit in September 2024 (1-2 weeks, preferably in Amsterdam or Lisbon.
*A cat sit in November 2024 (2-4 weeks) in Japan, preferably Kyoto or Tokyo.
Would love to take care of your cat, max 2 - and look after your home, keep it tidy and water your plants while you're away. Only a non-smoking home, tidy with no clutter. Internet access is a must and - if rural - a car that I can use (I've had a driver's license since 1978 and also drive a minibus, never had an accident).
If relevant: I have had three jabs (AstraZenecax1/Pfizerx2)
Why they want to house sit
I love cats, being a digital nomad and exploring new places. A home to treat as a 'writer's retreat' would be perfect.

I'll treat your home with respect and be your pet's best friend. Important note: no exchange of money. We're doing each other a favour : ) Please do not consider me for the assignment if you expect the sitter to work for free or manage airbnb rentals.

Fabulous Kitty Sitter
Britta looked after our very needy 11 year old diabetic cat for 2.5 weeks in Manhattan. We were delighted to find the cat in great spirits and the apartment in a clean and tidy state. Britta was a very responsible guest and managed to rescue all of our 24th floor balcony furniture from a huge storm. Britta was quick to learn how to inject insulin and we were confident in her skills. You would be very fortunate to have Britta as your pet sitter. Susan

Practically perfect in every way!
Have you ever seen Mary Poppins? Also Britta comes with "the east wind" and a bag of treats (delicious homemade bread!). We asked her availability in the summer of 2017, to take care of our beloved Joppie, a red cat with strange needs (he likes to go outside just with the leash) and our house for a couple of weeks. We shared the house for a day before leaving for our vacation and we can guarantee she’s definitely more than house sitter: we immediately fell in love with her and we spent long hours sharing stories about cats, literature and travels. Also Joppie has been fond of her from the first second, immediately started to purr and follow her around the house like a ghost. We have received pictures of the house and the cat every day, and constant updates about everything was happening with Joppie and their evening stroll around the neighbourhood. We felt super secure and reassured that she was taking good care of him! When we got back from the holiday, the wind had changed and she was gone: The house was perfect, Joppie well fed and relaxed, all the plants in the house were alive and beaming, and my broken bicycle had been repaired. WOW! The only signs of her presence were a welcome back note on a small card and a little present. We totally recommend Britta to anyone! Mario, Anna and Joppie!

Minnie Mouse ...Cat Sitting
Britta came over from Denmark to look after my lovely cat over the Christmas period. ... She was perfect, I felt very happy leaving her alone in my house she sent me 'up dates' on Minnie by text who seemed really happy. When I came back in the middle of the week we got on very well and even went to the theatre together.. She is genuine, good with animals and looked after my house carefully. I thoroughly recommend her to anyone! Sally
