About this sitter
Hello. We are Victor and Rose from Australia/New Zealand. Victor is ex RAAF and a retired Public Servant. I am a retired Bookkeeper, and now a published author.
We are currently travelling overseas on our extended senior citizens gap year.
We are an active, married couple in our sixties. Non smokers. Independent and self reliant. We are both double vaccinated plus four boosters for Covid-19. We have travelled and moved around Australia and overseas for many years with the RAAF, including postings to Malaysia and the Solomon Islands.
We are experienced house sitters who since 2011, have looked after dogs (large & small), cats and poultry, houses, pools and gardens in the UK, The Netherlands, Vancouver Island, France, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, USA, Switzerland and Malta.
We are a responsible, thoughtful, reliable, mature couple who would take the upmost care with your home and pets. Our family dogs have always been an integral part of our family, spending time with us inside and outside the house. We love the great outdoors, the peace and quiet of the countryside, as well as the hustle and bustle of city life. We walk every day, and like to spend time in the garden. We love to cook, and are always happy to curl up with a good book, watch a movie or sport on the telly. We enjoy exploring new neighbourhoods and having coffee at the local café and watching the world go by.
Our passion is travel and exploring new surroundings, so house sitting gives us the opportunity to feel like part of the community, and not just a tourist.
We do not charge for our house sitting services, and do not expect to pay a bond or utilities for short assignments (less than six weeks).
We are looking for medium to long term house sits longer than three weeks.
We have further references available, and Victor has a police check as he was a volunteer with the Rural Fire Service in NSW.

Simply AMAZING!
Rose and Victor are an absolute delight. We were nervous leaving our two kittens (a bit naughty) and older kitty, but we were quickly and completely at ease and so happy they were caring for our boys and home. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation and we received regular updates. Our garden was mowed, plants watered, house clean, and a lovely dinner made for our homecoming. Devon House Sit, February/March 2023
Rose and Victor are a delightful couple and took great care of both our home and our animals. The house was clean and very tidy on our return and Rose had cooked a welcome home supper. Thank you Rose! Overall, they were both extremely diligent, kind and supportive of our animals needs. Whilst Chang can be nervous around new people, he took to both Rose and Victor immediately. That gave me great confidence in leaving our home and pets with them. I highly recommend them both to future house sits. No concerns to pass on at all. They were just amazing!

Wonderful house and dog sitters
We'd like to thank Rose and Victor for looking after our house, and especially our dog Nui, so well. Nui misses them! They kept us updated with how our dog was getting on, kept the house clean and tidy, watered the garden and cut the lawn, and even drove us to and from the airport. We would highly recommend them as house and pet sitters.
