About this sitter

Hi, I'm Christine ( Chris), a mature house sitter. I'm a non-smoker, enjoy being with animals particularly dogs and describe myself as cheerful, reliable, responsible and independent with a love of travel and new experiences. I am happy to consider city, town or countryside locations. As well as city culture I enjoy the outdoors, dog walking, cycling, jogging, walking, swimming and most sports.

I am currently based in Gloucestershire and employed by UK government, I'm only available for short term housesitting up to possibly two weeks at a time depending, this includes both UK and overseas.

For those interested overseas, I speak some French and am keen to improve that, also some German. I can also teach english to non-native speakers if required.

Why they want to house sit

In the current situation I'm looking to remain UK based and explore some of the lovely counties and areas we have here.
I may work from home whilst on a housesit which gives me a welcome change of scene whilst taking care of pets and exploring new areas.
Otherwise, if overseas I'm looking for a different holiday/break experience by living as a local in exchange for helping out home owners with pets or odd jobs.
In future, I would like to spend time in France to improve my much needed conversation skills. But for now, I'm mainly looking at UK based housesits.

Their experience

Yes, I periodically housesit when available for two fox terriers/one cat in Wales having been asked to return.
Ive looked after a friend's daschund/jack russell cross and growing up our family dog, an old english sheepdog.
Overall, my housesitting has included looking after dogs, cats, ducks, hamsters and a tortoise.
In my earlier years, I worked as a Girl Friday (nanny, homehelp) and so will look after and keep a house tidy.
I own my own home, consider myself quite house proud and will keep your property clean and tidy.

What can they bring to the assignment

It's possible I can come and housesit at fairly short notice depending on your location. I'm a trustworthy and reliable person so can bring peace of mind to potential homeowners out there. I can assure you your pets will be well loved and looked after and your home taken care of. I'm also happy to help out with small jobs and errands in your absence.
