I love animals, peacefulness, the outdoors, and building lasting communities across the globe!
I am an independent scholar, ordained clergy, non-drinker, non-smoker, and very tidy. I lead an active, positive lifestyle, often walking 7–8 miles a day. Because I work remotely on writing deadlines, I am primarily around the house, providing constant presence, reassurance, and calm companionship for your pets.
As a dedicated "Gold Star" member on Mind My House with 22 years of global house-sitting experience, I approach every stay not as a business transaction, but as a way to support fellow homeowners. While I am entirely self-sufficient, I greatly appreciate it when hosts help offset initial logistical dynamics—such as contributing toward travel costs or covering the first month of basic groceries—allowing us to start the assignment on a wonderful, collaborative footing.
I am highly communicative and will seamlessly adapt to your preferred update schedule, providing text check-ins and photo updates. To decompress, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, sailing, tennis, theater, and classical or jazz music.
I relocated to Edinburgh in 2019 and operate as an independent scholar. House sitting provides a beautiful change of scenery that helps me relax, connect with local neighborhoods, and find the quiet focus needed to meet my academic writing goals.
I am proud to be one of the very first members of Mind My House, having joined 14 years ago, though my total house-sitting journey spans over 22 years. I have successfully managed properties and loved pets across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland, England, Denmark, Austria, Canada, and the United States.
I grew up alongside dogs, hamsters, and parrots, and have developed a profound, lifetime comfort with animals. My experience spans everything from standard cat and dog care to managing an entire small farm of 20 animals simultaneously. I am highly requested by past homeowners, many of whom frequently invite me back or attempt to coordinate their holiday schedules around my availability.
I bring absolute reliability, meticulous home care, and advanced problem-solving skills. For 14 years, I successfully maintained and managed a beautiful home of my own in California, so I deeply understand the care, cleanliness, and vigilance required to keep a household running smoothly.
I specialize in handling exceptional behavioral and medical pet situations with complete patience, including:
• Anxiety Management: Creating stable, peaceful environments for highly anxious dogs.
• Dietary Structures: Implementing strict schedules and boundaries for pets with food-related anxieties.
• Medical Care: Reliably dispensing necessary prescription medications, vitamins, and supplements.
• Diverse Species: Confidently looking after exotics and farm animals, including parrots, chickens, roosters, and horses.
I am 100% dedicated to keeping your home pristine, your neighbors happy, and your pets loved.

Perfect solution for us and our pets
Nash has now looked after our two dogs, cat and house twice. At the end of January '23 we had to go to Crete for two months and at the end of May '23 we went to the south of England for ten days to visit friends and family. Both times Nash has looked after our pets beautifully, kept our home tidy, made friends with our neighbours, and generally been a wonderful person. We didn’t have to worry at all. Our cat in particular frets when we are away, and a cattery would not have suited her at all. The peace and quiet here suited Nash's requirements too. On top of all this, we had almost daily emails, with photos, letting us know our pets were well and happy. This was a real bonus. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely lady to anyone who needs her assistance. Ten out of ten!

Friendly house sitter with great communication skills
Nash has looked after our small female dog for 2 months while we were abroad visiting family. While in our house, she kept us updated of any issues or adventures our little dog was going through. Her communication skills were great, and she is also very friendly. During these two months, our dog had some health issues, and Nash was able to report and help her to recover quickly. She made sure the dog was comfortable with her and always reported to us anything she was unsure of it.

An excellent house sitter!
Rev. Nash has just completed a four week housesit for us. She looked after our elderly cat Ben, and our home very well indeed. We were even treated to a home cooked meal on our return! We are more than happy to recommend Nash to anyone wishing to make use of her services.
