Retired, Professional Married Couple Looking for House Sitting Assignments In Europe and United States

About this sitter

We're a happily married (38 years),outgoing, financially secure, and personable couple with 3 grown children, and 6 grand children who love the experience of traveling to different counties and soaking up their local culture. I am 60 and had 35 years in as a law enforcement, and am a graduate of the FBI National Academy. I have a Top Secret security clearance with the United States Government. (no background problems there!) who has had many unique experiences (and stories!) My wife is 61 and was a flight attendant for NWA/Delta for 34 years. We are looking for an opportunity to experience different cultures for any length of time between 1 week and 3 months, depending on the homeowners situation. We have both traveled extensively (because of her job) to England, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Scotland, Japan, Korea, Australia, and also many warm climates (we live in Minnesota, so naturally we are used to COLD but also enjoy warmth!) We both love animals (we can't remember living WITHOUT dogs and cats since we were toddlers). We have been volunteers all our lives and look forward to being able to do that as well in whatever country we end up. You will be able to relax comfortably if you use our services and know that the house will be cleaner than you left it!

Why they want to house sit

Even though we have both traveled extensively abroad, we have only been able to stay in one location on vacation for a few days or up to two weeks...not enough time really to truly appreciate different histories and cultures. Now that we have the time, we both want to accomplish that.

Their experience

We have had 7 prior house sitting assignments in England, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Florida, and Hawaii. Duties included taking the pets out for walks, giving shots, and doing light home maintenance. One couple even wanted us to stay and hire on as house cleaners! All 5 couples said that they would give us great references. No kidding! My wife is a total "NEAT NIK" We have Skype and would be glad to talk/see you so you would feel comfortable with allowing us into your home.

What can they bring to the assignment

If accepted, an owner can sleep easy knowing that they have a reliable, honest, hardworking, and dependable couple who have enough life experiences to get things done properly. We are both physically fit, financially independent, nonsmoking homeowners who love people, animals, local foods and history. No criminal history, no speeding tickets, and no issues!
