About this sitter
Available From: March 2025 We, Laurence and Lesley are in our mid sixties
and recently retired. Laurence previously worked
as a building services consultant but has worked
as a lecturer for the past five years .I have
worked in social care for twenty four years.
Having both worked for Local Authorities we have
had police checks.
Between us we have owned and loved dogs, cats,
chickens , ducks and mice. We are both home
owners with no ties, we are responsible, in good
health, enjoy walking ,reading and swimming and
would welcome the opportunity to care for your
home, garden and pets with care consideration
and affection.
We are available from early November 2016 onward
including the christmas and new year period and
can provide excellent references from previous
employers and housesit assignments.
Our home is near Cambridge U.K. and we are happy
to travel throughout the U.K. and Europe with
fair notice.

We enjoy visiting new places and meeting new people and animals and find the experience of getting to know a new area and new pets personalities great fun.

Stress free week away
Lesley and her husband Laurence came to sit Georgie and Charlie for five days. They super friends to both the dog and the cat. Lesley was very kind in not only she she strip the beds they used but she also did the laundry and hung it out for me. I would definitely ask them again in the future and also recommend them.

Lesley and Laurence were fantastic house and pet sitters
Lesley and Laurence stayed in our home over the Christmas vacation period. They were in our home for 3 weeks to look after our little ‘Havapoo’ named Ozzie. Ozzie was loved and cared for everyday and he enjoyed his many outings and walks with Lesley and Laurence. Lesley kept us informed on the happenings back in Denmark (as we were on the opposite side of the world visiting family in Australia) and kept us updated on Ozzie. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived home and an added bonus was that Lesley did our left over washing and folded the clothes that we ran out of them to deal with before leaving for the holiday. We hope that Lesley and Laurence are free to come back and house/pet sit for us again next time we are away.

The Perchery
Lesley & Laurence took very good care of our house, and pets (cat and dog) while we were away in India for 17 days, and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to others. In fact, as and when we plan another overseas trip we shall be getting in touch with them in the hope they are free to come back, and look after The Perchery and the animals.

Very successful House Sit
Lesley and Lawrence are a very warm and caring couple, who came to look after the pets and house at a very difficult time for us. We had to be flexible on dates and they happily extended the stay by 3 days to cope with our needs. They kept us fully up to date with news of the pets and sent photos and news every other day. The house was well cared for and the dogs adored them. We would highly recommend them as ideal house sitters.

Excellent house sitters.
From the moment we connected on Skype I knew Lesley and Laurence would be great house sitters. They are very organised and excellent communicators, both before and during the house sit. Our pets were well looked after as was our house. I highly recommend Lesley and Laurence and look forward to welcoming them back to our house in the future.
