About this sitter

I'm an independent, caring, mature Aust woman with the energy of youth, but the wisdom & life experience only age can bring.
I now have 14 years continuous international pet/housesitting experience.

I enjoy the company of animals...often preferable to people.... & adopted this lifestyle when my 2 daughters began to change locations worldwide for work.
I sold the house with pool/garden in Perth.
2023 update - since covid I decided to downsize to a smaller property in Perth.....but still travelling & need the company of animals.

I annually spend May - Nov in Europe, then Asia & Australia for the remaining months..
As two of my testimonials show..... I housesit occasionally as a 'couple' with my daughter's father - when the location suited .

As an owner/renovator of houses, gardens, I'm very aware of the upkeep & maintenance required.
My comfort zone is a clean, tidy environment


Being well travelled I enjoy change & language differences don't bother me...(smatterings of many) I always manage to accomplish what I need.

Please note I've a damaged vocal chord from a life saving operation 33 years ago, which has left me with a softer huskier voice. The benefit is it's good with animals., although it seems to concern some people......not sure why as they don't have to live with it.
I'm available to skype, so just a forewarning, if I forget to mention it.

Why they want to house sit

I'm active & mentally thrive on new situations so this has proven to be the ideal lifestyle for me, & also a way to experience life in different countries......whether rural, or city.
I've made many friends both human & animal which is an added bonus.

Pet/housesitting has been heavily promoted & extremely popular since I first started.
When I reflect on when I first began, I realise experience definitely counts........not as easy as people think when responsibility for animals & homes in unknown surroundings is concerned,

I'm a very experienced active house/petsitter with numerous contactable references on request, & have been listed on various housesit sites for 10 years, with many repeat sits I still return to.
I've experienced a wide variety of properties from pristine heavily secured luxury to the most basic in diverse locations.....variety is the spice of life.
Very experienced with dogs, cats,(including rescue) birds, fish, hens, rabbits, guinea pigs, worm farms & gardens both productive & ornamental. Always willing to enlarge this range...animal wise or habitations.

Experienced in running small B&B's, & fully equipped holiday house so am a proficient cook & have experience in the presentation of properties.

I was there in summer of 2012 not winter, & was left with the last minute addition of 2 approx 4 week old abandoned kittens that I managed to integrate into the unwilling existing 4 cat family.

What can they bring to the assignment

Being a small single woman, definitely less wear & tear on a property.
The natural ability to multi task.& a caring feminine touch.
I've the enthusiasm & energy of youth, but with the wisdom of age.
Very calm & not phased by much.
Treat properties with respect & always return them in the condition I received them if not better,. Calm, & relaxed animals included..
I regularly send photo updates to homewoners if desired.
