Our priority is keeping Jinny safe and happy she is a house cat she wears a harness and she will sit in the garden she is very content cat loves her toys and scratching posts

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located in Crickhowell in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Its an absolutely stunning area all sorts of out door activities locally paragliding from one of the mountains that surround into the meadow behind our house canoeing on the Usk fabulous pubs with live music excellent food and several Michelin star restaurants close by We are very close to Abergavenny, renowned for it's Food festival and not far from Hay on Wye. Our capital city Cardiff is only a 50 min drive away. Our house is small but very comfortable and has all amenities with our own parking space at the rear a beautiful tranquil garden full of roses and cottage garden plants with a small pond .Crickhowell has excellent amenities 2 butchers a baker and a green grocer a couple of high end ladies shops
Bookish a book shop that features author frequent evenings and daytime events .Cafes and pubs its a thriving market town a Saturday morning market and the best walks on your doorstep.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The safety of our cat Jinny is the main priority. she is a friendly easy going cat and is no trouble, but as she was a rescue and can be quite timid cat she is not street wise and we have a fairly busy road at the front. So great care needed to keep doors closed We have a new mini conservatory we use for eating in and sitting in ,

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.

Quaint village in the heart of the Brecon Beacons.

Crickhowell is a beautiful, unspoilt and friendly small village nestled in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park surrounded by lovely countryside and mountains. Jane and Tony's cottage had great views and was just a 2 minute walk to the River Usk. This area is a walkers paradise be it mountains, rivers or canals and lots of walking trails which start right from the village. Smiffy the cat was very affectionate and a pleasure to look after, I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this house-sit to anyone looking to relax in this peaceful setting to enjoy the nature of the Welsh countryside. The village has lots of traditional pubs serving good food and all the local shops you would need. The larger towns of Abergavenny and Brecon are not too far away and accessible by public transport and also host many events in the summer months. An all round great stay :))
