I'm looking for one or two female housesitters (my dog is afraid of men) with a gentle vibe who doesn't mind giving my dog some time to warm up.
She's been getting much better these days, even cuddling with strangers, but experience with rescue/nervous dogs would be a huge plus.
-Feed Dee twice a day, once in the morning and once around 4 or 5.
-Walk Dee at least three times a day. She probably won't go too far with you, so short walks are fine.
-Not leaving Dee alone for more than 5 hours, if possible.
-Send me the odd text or email updating me on my Dee Dee, if you can!
-Water the very thirsty outdoor plants, if you can.
Located right on the Bloor subway line and minutes from both the Dundas West subway station and the new Union Pearson (UP) airport train (which will take you to the airport in 20 minutes or right downtown to Union Station/Rogers Centre/CN Tower in only 8 minutes), the location can't be beat!
The house itself is bright, colourful, and cozy in a quiet enclave off Bloor St. W featuring a king-sized bed, air-conditioning, Apple TV, a dishwasher, washer/dryer. The property even has a shared heated pool!
The Junction Triangle is the latest "up and coming" neighbourhood and boasts the best restaurants, breweries, and cafes.
We're close to High Park, The Annex and Roncesvalles Village. You won't run out of things to do.
Dee really is a very sweet, affectionate dog once you get to know her (and she's been known to warm up to women fairly quickly) but she is a nervous rescue dog who was likely abused for the first 4 years of her life. She may bark and growl at you at first, but if you give her some space, she'll warm up and be cuddling on the couch with you in no time.
