About this assignment
Reliable honest person who will enjoy living in our house and looking after our cats. I would like them to be respectful to the environment
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
To feed our two cats once a day and give them the odd stroke
The are very independent but do like the odd brush
What are the good features of the property and location
The house is a 60s design house with fabulous views over Longdean Nature reserve. It is a quiet retreat. We are a 15 minute walk to the Grand Union Canal. 20 minute walk to Apsley train station which will take you to Euston. There are many walks in the area
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Closest village for shopping 1 mile away. Private estate with close community spirit. House plants may need some watering.
A bike can be used if needed
The dates can be a little flexible
My daughter is also looking for a house sitter for her house cat. She lives in St Albans a fun city with plenty to see. Dates September 2 to 9.

I got to know England through wonderful people and cats. Jane and Marc are the epitome of intelligence and simplicity. Jane met me at the train station and took me home by car. I understood from the first moments that we were on the same page. I was shown around the house and given clear instructions about taking care of the cats and looking after the house. All three cats are sweet and polite. I am happy to watch them playing in the backyard. Just around the corner from the house, the fantastic walking trails started, where you could disappear for lunch. You could get to the center of London in 1.5 hours even by public transport. Lovely lady and super sweet kitties.
I looked after Jane's home and her three gorgeous cats in January 2023. Rory needed tablets given each day which was easy given that he was such a chilled cutie. Her home was fab and I really enjoyed my stay. I didn't go out at all as it was freezing in UK in January but the cats were super company. Jane was great to communicate with and extremely welcoming.

Wonderful Crazy Cat House
I can really recommend family Poyser as hosts! They are helpful, adorable and one of the nicest persons i ever met. You get an emergency contact, who would always help you as well. I really enjoyed this time - especially because of the cats. I felt in love with each of them. They love playing, cuddling and food - what's really relatable. I miss them. Radlett and their house is lovely - everyone would like to live there for a while. I would be glad to meet them all and be their sitter again.
