I need someone to look after my 2 lovely cats and 2 lovely dogs as well as keep up the plants and grounds around my farmhouse in the Alps.
This can be appropriate for a couple or individual but not families and the grounds are not safe for children. I prefer someone travelling without an animal in order to minimise the stress on my animals. You should like cats and hanging out with them, giving them pets and just generally spending time with them. You should be active enough to walk the dogs but will also have the support of a dog walker when possible. The cats and dogs are allowed on the beds and sofas and so this should be ok for you. You should also be tidy and respectful.
This is not suitable for rock climbers unfortunately.
I will be coming and going from the property due to travel I cannot avoid. When I am present you will have a small cabin with a kitchen and bathroom to yourself. When I am away you will move to the main apartment to live with the animals full time. I am a woman living alone and so have multiple cameras on my property covering the land around the house, as well as inside where my office is. These are for security and will remain active at all times.
Feeding the cats and dogs, taking th dogs for toilet walks, cleaning the litter daily, cutting grass, tending the veg and fruit plots, weeding, deadheading, and maybe collecting vegetables/fruit. Generally loving on the cats and dogs.
My home is in the town of St Gervais Les Bains, about a 25min walk to town. There are also regular buses. If you have a car then Megève is a 20min drive and Chamonix is a 25min drive. I live next to the public pool, tennis courts, mini-golf and ice rink. There is excellent hiking all around and paragliding and rock climbing. The gondola to the Megeve/St Gervais ski area is a 5 minute bus ride or 20minute walk away. From town you can get the tram up to the top of Les Houches which is part of the Chamonix ski area and also is nice for hiking. Les Contamines is a 20min bus ride away and has great snow when other areas don't.
You must love animals and be kind and gentle and patient. The animals sometimes sleep on the bed and do not get locked out of any rooms. Vet skills or a green thumb are a plus. The duration of the stay can be flexible as there are many spare rooms. If you plan on being out most of the day then this isn't for you. This is better for someone who has a project or likes to read and wants a quiet place close to nature to spend time. The town has a lot going on but is not a place to party and it isn't necessarily easy to meet people so you would be partly with only yourself.
No, sorry.

Lovely animals in a lovely place
We had a wonderful time pet sitting for Henley. The house is very comfortable, clean, cosy and easy to manage. The views are beautiful and there are many walks starting from the house. Henley was very friendly and welcoming. Everything was organised, clear instructions were given and she was always quick to respond when needed. Riva and Kitsune were lovely dogs that loved walking and cuddling. Pippin and Merlin were very entertaining cats and were also always there to cuddle with. Overall, this was a relaxing house sit, in a beautiful place, with lovely animals to keep you company. We highly recommend!

Great experience
I watched Kitsune, Riva, and Thor for just over a week, and truly adored all of them. Thor is a very sweet, and vocal cat. He has a very chill demeanour. I was lucky enough to meet Henley as well, and she was a great person to spend time with. She was always communicative, and answers any questions I had quickly. I enjoyed sitting for her, and meeting her crew. Thank you for everything, Henley.

Bubbly In Bordeaux
This assignment was great from first contact until the end. Henley was very generous with her time to explain everything and to open her home the night before so we could make it easy and effortless for her to depart the next morning. We spent cuddle time with the cats who just wanted to be adored. The home is central and located within walking distance of everything that you could need. A reliable and friendly hostess. It would be my pleasure to help out again.

Wonderful stay in Bordeaux
I recently finished a stay at Henley and Tommy's house in Bordeaux. Could not have been a better experience! Henley and Tommy were so nice, even letting me stay for a few days before they left for two weeks, and invited me to their holiday dinner with friends. And we explored the local wineries and the beautiful city of Bordeaux. Great times! The two dogs are so sweet, extremely quiet, and very easy to deal with. They are a little shy at first, but will warm up to you quickly. The three cats are even easier to take care of. Their apartment is very spacious and is in a wonderful location. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. There are two different tram stops just a few minutes walk away. I would definitely recommend a MMH stay with Henley and Tommy. I look forward to making back to Bordeaux soon.

What a great home!
It was a really enjoyable experience caring for Henley's home and pets. The 3 cats were playful, friendly, and very straightforward. Her house is comfortable and in an amazing location close to everything you could possibly need in Bordeaux. She and her partner were really easy to get along with and made sure we knew where everything was to feel right at home. We highly recommend this opportunity to any future house-sitters!
