About this assignment

I am looking for an honest and trustworthy person to house and per sit from Thursday 18th June to Sunday 21st June 2020 at my small by cosy cottage in South Wales. You must like cats and be happy to live quietly in a small coastal village. I would like people who can provide me with references and preferably a police check.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

You just need to take care of my cottage and my one cat Missy

What are the good features of the property and location

I am just 5mins from the beach and we have stunning sunsets across the estuary. There is a hotel with swimming pool and sauna down the road which you can join for the week. There are coastal walks and bike rides. You can take the train into Carmarthen, llanelli, Swansea and Tenby. There is a village cafe which does lovely fish and chips, a pub and two restaurants.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I am retired living on a small income so would prefer not to pay for a house sitter or cat sitter but will provide some initial food and wine.

Testimonials

Beautiful West Wales

Diane invited me to take care of her cat, Missy, and her house in Ferryside. I had often passed through on the train and now had the opportunity to get off and explore the area. Diane was well prepared with information about Missy's care, the house, and things to do in the area. She was kind enough to introduce me to some of her friends so that I could go out to a quiz night with them. Missy and I were two old ladies together; grumpy, slow but respecting each other's ways. She is a lovely cat, very particular about how she is touched but I was very honoured when she came on to my lap or brushed against me to have her ears tickled. Ferryside is a smallish village; peaceful but has a lovely community spirit with lots going on; a pub; a couple of cafes; good restaurant; village shop and a hotel and spa. It is on the estuary, has a beautiful view across to Llansteffan and (weather permitting) stunning sunsets. The railway station is literally down the road and there is a regular bus service to Carmarthen and Kidwelly. Thank you Diane for letting me look after your precious Missy - I really enjoyed my stay, getting out and about by bus, walking on the beach taking lots of lovely photographs and generally enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
