About this assignment
We'd love to find someone to be with our beloved kitty while we are away. The house is in Provence countryside near Draguignan and built in southwestern design, clean and ready for your tender loving care. Our beloved 12-year old black kitty, Streak, needs some company while we are gone. He is independent with his own agenda but does not like being alone.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Streak is not a cuddler and loves to bring his lizards and other prey into the house. He goes in and out as he likes during the day, but he must come in at dark and when you are not at home. He eats twice a day with packet meals, leaving dry food out all day, and a clean litter box when needed. Some flowers will need watering with the hose, but not an extensive garden. What are the good features of the property and location
Everyone who comes to Wild Olives feels at home. We restored an 18th century ruin in our version of Provence and Arizona. We have over 200 hundred olive trees scattered on the 3 hectares and are 500 meters high on a hillside overlooking the town below. The house is very private with wifi and satellite tv, and an outdoor jacuzzi. It is 20 minutes from the shopping town of Draguignan and 70 minutes to the sea. You will need a vehicle as none come with the house.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The house is down a dirt road with no visible neighbors, and very rural. It is an open design with stairs to the second floor and a beautiful sky at night. We look forward to hearing why the countryside appeals to you to speaking with you in advance.

Jeannette gave us very detailed instructions but also loads of freedom to enjoy Wild Olives and all it has to offer. Everything was well stocked and so tidy. It only took one day for Streak to warm up to us and we were able to enjoy our much needed "kitty time " with brushings, head butts, and lots of stroking. Fantastic location to care for the best cat ever.
We loved our time at Wild Olives looking after Streak. The location is superb in the hills of the Var, overlooking the olive trees, there is even a hot tub to relax in. The house is very comfortable with everything you would possibly need. And Jeannette and Mort are wonderful home owners. We would gladly house sit again for Jeannette.
