Mumrik
I’m looking for someone (or coupled people), gentle with Mumrik and in possession of green fingers.
I have a fair amount of flowers/plants indoors and outdoors and this sit includes keeping them alive.
Mumrik is a gentle, vocal and social gentleman. He’s a rescue who is not always the best with risk assessment. Practically this means, he goes out under supervision(avoiding unnecessary fights with neighbors cats). He’s not on a leash. When you go out he’ll usually hangs out with you.
Mind my cat and house. Water indoor plants when needed. Water outside 3 times/week(takes 30-45 min). Move a small lawn a couple of times during the stay(Max20
min). Only manual lawn mover. Litter box to be cleaned once a day (he doesn’t always use it)and the whole box changed once a week. Check the mail box.
The property is a comfortable 160 m2 house on a quiet street divided into a house/apartment. There is a larger and a smaller bedroom, a large living room upstairs and a connecting(5 steps)living room downstairs. There is a rental (apartment)next to the house. The woman who rents it is quiet and friendly :) There are two toilets, and a shower upstairs. .
Åsa is a beautiful sea side resort 50 k's south of Gothenburg. I live 10 min by bike or 30 minutes walk to the ocean. Food store and gym is also 10 minutes away. I live 800 m from the train station. The train to Gothenburg usually runs every hour. 25 minutes train ride.
Sometimes the trains are cancelled. Then it’s an easy flat 10 minute bike ride to the bus in town. Bus 732 to Kungsbacka (30 minutes)and a train to Gothenburg(25 minutes). It takes me roughly 70 minutes from my door to the central station.
There are a couple of basic restaurants. There is also a very unique nature reserve called Nasbokrok, several lakes, a beautiful castle(Tjolöholms slott)nearby. Kungsbacka is a 20 minutes drive away, Varberg roughly 40 minutes.
Looking for a cat person. Mumrik came to me as a 3 year old. The two previous owners didn’t want him for different reasons. In the last family he didn’t get along with the other cat. He is big and gentle and much more of a lover that a fighter but he will defend himself if needed. He use to be an indoor cat but is getting use to going out. He’s a ragdoll mix. This means that he is a smart, talkative and sensitive cat who likes company.
He can be left alone for a day but not over night. Please take care of my cat and enjoy a break by the sea!
No, sorry.

Spend midsummer in Asa Sweden
Maria's beautiful home is on top of a hill overlooking the western sea, with a lush garden full of different plants, and a cozy interior decor. The area around Asa is full of places to explore, with the coast being a 15min bike ride away. Maria was kind, incredibly helpful and communicative while sitting. Mumrik (cat) is a gentle chatty sweetheart, who loves spending time with you. I enjoyed spending time with him, playing, chatting and all the pets.

Staying with Mumrik in Åsa
I was very fortunate to be asked by Maria to look after Mumrik, her much loved cat. It was easy to arrange the house sit as Maria communicates well and provided good information about Mumrik, her house and the local area. She was very welcoming and hospitable when I arrived and did everything to make my stay go well. She has an interesting life and I enjoyed our conversations too. Maria’s home is a beautiful mix of traditional and modern. It was comfortable, practical, peaceful and full of light. The garden leads directly into pristine woodland yet a train station is a short walk away and shops and the coast were easy to reach on the bike that Maria lent to me. Mumrik is a lovely cat. He was friendly, very talkative and became more attached during our time together. It was hard leaving him! I can wholeheartedly recommend this house sit. Thankyou Maria and Mumrik.

Lovely peaceful home with adorable cat
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Maria's house with the adorable Mumrick. Mumrick is a pleasant companion and Maria was really lovely to communicate with. We felt very prepared for our stay from her excellent communication and comfortable in her home which has everything you could need. There was a roommate too who was very easy to stay with, we didn't feel a lack of privacy at all. Mumrick and the calm nature will replenish your soul on this peaceful house sit.

A unique housesit
Staying on Maria's boat was a great housesitting experience. The area was lovely, with many restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance, with nice beaches and cycling opportunities nearby. The boat itself was modern and bright, and very comfortable. The deck was a lovely space to sit and take in the sights and sounds of the marina. Maria made us feel at home right away, and was in regular contact to make sure we were settling in and to answer any questions we had. We had a wonderful two weeks in Stenungsund, and would wholeheartedly recommend the experience to other sitters.

Ten days in Åsa
My wife and I answered a call for 10 a day housesitting in Åsa, a small community south of Gothenburg, Sweden, some 350 km from our home and we accepted it as a training for a longer sit abroad. The duties included care for the post-box, in- and out-door plants but no animals. House and conditions were as described, somewhat better than expected really. Åsa has a grocery store (ICA), some pizzerias etc and a camping site with a sand shore all within a 15 minute walk. We had a great time there and no unexpected demands afterwards.
