Phoebe is our 10 year old indoor kitty who loves attention. She loves to sit on a lap and is also content in her many cat beds.
**Dates are approximate and can fluctuate a few days. Will firm up dates after confirming a sitter’s availability**
We are looking for someone who loves cats and is a non-smoking, responsible, kind and trustworthy person(s) to house sit and give loving & attentive care to our kitty, Phoebe, while we are away. Treat our fur baby as we would treat her as well as be a responsible and considerate housesitter who will treat our home with respect and care.
Phoebe eats wet food in the morning (and she gets medicine mixed in with it). She also free feeds dry kibble and has water bowls. Her bowls will need to be washed and replenished daily as well at her litter box scooped daily.
We expect you to keep general tidiness in the home while you are here and treat our home, property and neighbors with respect.
I have a vegetable garden that will need to be watered occasionally (depending on rain & weather). You can, of course, eat the fruits of your labor!
Some other outdoor and indoor plants may need to be watered, too.
Our home is in a Northern Virginia rural suburb of Washington DC (approximately 60 minutes away). Our home is located on a dirt road off of a dirt road. There are only 6 houses on our road and it is a quiet rural setting. Where our home is located, you would need a vehicle to get around as there isn't public transportation. Western Loudoun County has many wineries and breweries. Having a car, you could easily do day trips to many nearby beautiful and historic places such as: Washington DC, Harpers Ferry WV, Great Falls National Park, Shennadoah National Park, and Baltimore MD, just to name a few! Lots of Civil War sites to visit, too!
Our home is located in a rural setting, so a sitter must be comfortable with a quiet, more secluded environment.
Have a vehicle that you are comfortable driving on a rutted dirt road.
No, sorry.

Great home owners and sweet cat...
Glenn and Vicki was our first house sit. It couldn't have gone better. They are both fine, hardworking people and great hosts. When we got there the first night they prepared a very nice meal for us. Skittles the cat warmed up to us almost immediately and we didn't have a minutes trouble with her during the entire stay. Their home is clean, neat and very comfortable. We were able to see the local sites, soak up some history and eat at some great restaurants. Made two trips to Washington DC! Vicki made a scrapbook for us with recommendations on places of interest in the area. Safe neighborhood, we felt very secure. Vicki has excellent communications skills. Overall a great sit and we highly recommend them. Thanks Glenn, Vicki and Skittles!
