About this assignment

Someone to love our dogs as much as we do while we are away. They are very happy together and enjoy their life here. I could never move them to a kennel while we are away. We have a few house plants that will also like a little attention and a fishpond with Koi that only need to be feed during the warmer weather. We have a greenhouse with lots of plants, but we can make other arrangements if that is more than you can handle. Ideally a vegetarian sitter, but we can figure something out if that is a problem.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

feed, walk and love two dogs and check the house plants if they need attention. We own several commercial buildings here on Main st. that, while walking the dogs, a walk by to see that everything looks normal will be nice. In the summer there is a fishpond that needs an occasional hand full of food thrown in, but they hibernate in the winter.

What are the good features of the property and location

This is a 15,000 sg. ft. ( 1400 meters square) building on 3 floors. The living area is the second floor. The ground and top floors are our studio spaces.
This is a work in process with all the amenities in place. There is a 72 mile nature trail that runs right through town. Our dogs love a walk on the trail. It was the B&O railroad that was removed in the 1980's and now home to bikers, hikers and horseback riders.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is a very small town with one restaurant one gas station, a post office and a second hand store. Next store to us is an old movie theater that was converted into a climbing wall and bike and kayak rentals. A 30 minute drive gets you to a larger town with all the big box stores, a health food store and almost everything else you should need right on the Ohio river.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
