Village House near Granada, Andalucia

About this assignment

We are looking for a responsible, friendly, cat-loving person/couple to care for our village house, with a large front terrace, balcony, and two cats while we are away for six weeks.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The main responsibilities are feeding and caring for our two cats, keeping the house secure, clean, and lived in, and notifying us of any problems or issues.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our house is located 20 minutes from Granada, Andalusia and 20 minutes from the coast by car at the foot of the Sierra Nevada in a picturesque Spanish village. There is access to public transport from the village to Granada (one hour by bus). The village has a small supermarkets, a chemist, bakers, bars and two restaurants. Ideally located for walks in the Sierra and local countryside.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The village is at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, about 900 metres above sea level. Temperatures in Decemeber/January are usually around 4°C-18°C. It can be cold, but the weather is generally good, with blue skies and cold but sunny days. The house is heated by central heating, and there are additional heaters if needed.
