A relaxing place in the sunshine of Valencia

About this assignment

We need someone who can look after our 2 dogs, 2 cats and chickens during August 2025 from July 31 to 17 August. Our house is 5 km from the nearest town so you will need some form of transport. We use solar power and have a backup generator so you may need to operate a small generator.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We need someone to feed our 2 dogs, 2 cats and 3 chickens. We also have a vegetable growing area that needs checking on daily (the watering is largely automatic).

Also our daughter Jenny and her 18-month old son Rio will also be staying at the house so the house would be shared. Jenny needs occasional help with small physical tasks as she went through a difficult birth and is still recuperating.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a very quiet part of Valencia, nearest town is Lliria (6km) but we are only 30 minutes drive from Valencia city and 40 minutes to great beaches. We are also close to a National Park (Serra Calderona) and some world class climbing spots at Chuilla. The accommodation consists of a 3 bedroom house but only 1 bedroom is currently fitted out as a bedroom.
The other bedrooms are used as "hobby" rooms for music and art. We have internet connection with average download speed between 50 - 100 Mb/s, so streaming Netflix or Zoom meetings with video are not a problem.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

If you like nature, peace and quiet then this is the place for you. There is night life if you want it but it is a drive away.
