About this assignment

A very loving, active and responsible person or couple to dog and housesit. Experienced dog sitter who understands abused dogs (Charlie is 11 , adopted at age 10, and had a hard life), and likes to walk (Lily May is a very affectionate border collie who likes long river walks).

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding the dogs twice a day, walking morning, afternonon and night. First walk is usually along the river (5-minute walk from house) always leashed. Vacuuming the house once a day.

What are the good features of the property and location

Beautiful stone house on top of gorgeous village. Stunning views from all rooms. Vernet les Bains is known for its hiking and charm. 5-MInute walk to the village center where there are cafes, shops, and great restaurants. 10-minute walk to intermarche larger market. If you have a car you can explore other villages nearby.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You don’t have to speak French since there are a lot of foreigners. You need to be fit since a few streets from the village center to the house are steep. You need to be strong, since you will handle 2 dogs, and Charlie does not like other dogs so you have to hold tight! Lily is 30 kg, Charlie is a strong 18 kg. For this reason a couple would be best.
