About this assignment
Responsible, tidy, non-smoking dog-lover . Flexible, easy going. We fly standby so sometimes we may return a day later. ( Ex airline employee). Also someone who mostly stays at home since pup does not like being left alone, anxiety. Or will take dog with on outings.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Look after the house and the dog, bring in the mail. Keep the house clean and tidy.
Peg is a rescue who we got on Jan 26th, 2022. She is 10 lbs and we think she is around 13 years old and and a Yorkie mix. We have routines for the dog which are quite flexible, so leaving her alone inside for 3 hours is fine but not too much longer.She gets anxiety when left alone and just barks. She has a collapsed trachea and also coughs when she gets excited and wants something. She does take a half a pill a day for the cough and a half of pill for skin allergies. She eats once a day, around 5pm. She likes sleeping in one of her beds, or on the sofa. She is house broken and loves going for a short walk but really loves going for car rides. She pretty much sleeps all day. But will let you know when she wants to go out.
What are the good features of the property and location
We are in Safety Harbor, Fl near Clearwater, Dunedin and beautiful downtown Safety Harbor, Also Phillipe Park. Our house is 2300sf. Kitchen, laundry, screened in/in-ground, un-heated pool (we have a pool service that comes on Wednesdays. 2 car garage, 4 bedrooms. We have internet in house and only one TV with streaming only in the family room. Not in a gated community but very safe and neighbors are great and look after one another.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Keeping the house in the condition you found it, water a few indoor and outdoor plants.
We are both retired. I an electrician and Susan worked for an airline for 30 years.
Susan and I both have police checks through Global Entry+TSA approval which is a known fliers list. We have cards if you would like to see, we would be happy to email them to you.
Can I bring my own pets?

Amazing and peaceful stay
We had an amazing time ! The house is gorgeous, very tastefully decorated and clean, Peg was such a sweet sweet dog with a lot of personality, very joyful and observant ! We absolutely loved her and would go back in a heart beat ! Peg is very indépendant but also loves human contact on her own time.

Friendly and laid back Pup
We met with Gary and Susan about watching Peg at their home. It worked out better to take Peg to our home. Gary and Susan had everything we needed to take with us for Peg including a well thought out instruction sheet. Everything went according to plan and Peg was a joy to have in our care. We would definitely watch her again someday.

I had the opportunity to house sit for Gary & Susan, and care for their sweet furry pals, Joey and Sadie. The home is in a quiet, safe neighborhood, and Joey and Sadie were easy and a pleasure to care for. I would certainly recommend them, and wouldn't mind another opportunity to sit in the future.

Florida Housesit
My Retired Parents and I have the pleasure of watching Gary and Susan’s wonderful home many times. It’s a home that rivals even the best of resorts. Their fur babies Joey and Sadie will find a way into your heart straight away. We’ve been housesitting all over the United States for more than 3 years and this has to be one of the easiest, clean, comfortable, relaxing, enjoyable housesits ever. The hosts a very clear about instructions for their cute pups, they leave information about the surrounding area and if you ever need to get a hold of them wherever they are in the world they get back to you as soon as possible. Not that there ever was a problem because this housesit was super easy. Both Gary and Susan are very accommodating and super friendly hosts. Gary, Susan, Joey, and Sadie were simply best. This house sit was better than staying at any 5 star resort and trust me we have traveled for a continuous 7+ years across America and stayed in all kinds of places and we know what’s out there. Gary and Susan can’t in touch, let us know what was in the area and they had such a quiet, relaxing, inviting and wonderful place they call home. Joey and Sadie were super sweet and easy to take care of. They love walks and being loved. By far the most relaxing house sit ever. Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity. House and Dog Sitting in Port St. Lucie, Fl
We just returned home from a wonderful stay at Gary and Susan's house. Their two older dogs, Sadie and Joe were a delight to take care of- friendly, lovable, and well behaved. We met the owners the evening before their trip to get familiarized with the home and dogs. The owners left detailed instructions, emergency contact info, as well as a list of places to explore in their area, It was a thoroughly enjoyable and positive experience!

A wonderful time
This was the best experience! Gary and Susan are two of the kindest people and their 2 dogs are the sweetest. Their home is beautiful and in a nice location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and look forward to returning in the future.
