About this assignment
I am looking for a quiet individual to stay with my 2 young cats for the weekend from July 24-26. Ollie (goofy white and grey male) is 2 yrs old and Ani (timid black female) is 3 years old.
I live in a 4th floor (top level) condo in one of the hottest neighbourhoods of North Vancouver, Lo Lo (Lower Lonsdale). Unobstructed views of downtown Vancouver, with quick crossing by Seabus a ten minute walk away.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
All the cats need is some company, fresh water every day, a supply of kibble and wet food in the evening. They need a clean litter box and human interaction every day but are not demanding and have no special needs.
What are the good features of the property and location
My 1 bedroom condo is on the top floor of a quiet building in an amazing neighborhood on the N Vancouver waterfront. It’s a ten minute walk to the popular Shipyards area with restaurants, art galleries, shopping and parks at your fingertips. In the heart of the brewery district, there is everything you need within 3 blocks. Also only a ten minute drive to beautiful beaches in Deep Cove and West Van and three local mountains with the most amazing hiking and bike trails.
Walking distance to the main bus route, grocery/drug store, banks, great restaurants and coffee shops. A community centre with a weight room is just three blocks down the street.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
This is a non-smoking one bedroom suite in a very quiet building and it is very important that anyone staying here is quiet and respectful of the neighbours. Single person preferred and all interested sitters will be vetted before being approved. Absolutely no smoking in the suite or on the property as per strata bylaws.
Can I bring my own pets?

Lovely kitties in beautiful North Vancouver
I stayed in Tanya'a place in North Vancouver for 10 days taking care of Ani and Ollie, a pair of lovely, playful kitties, Ollie a real cuddler. The place is perfectly situated, in a peaceful neighbourhood but very close to lively Shipyards and convenient public transportation options to basically everywhere. The apartment is very comfortable and cozy. Tanya is a very welcoming host, explained everything in detail also leaving instructions in writing. I wholeheartedly recommend this sit to everyone! Playful, furry companions and a city that has so much to offer!

Looking after Ollie and Ani in North Vancouver
This was a special house sit in a North Vancouver apartment with two delightful cats for company. Tanya is a great person who made the whole process a pleasure. She is friendly, considerate, interesting to talk to and communicates well. Ollie the male cat was very relaxed and sociable from the start. Ani the female was more cautious and it took time to win her confidence and approval. They are both sweet natured and playful. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything for an enjoyable stay. The location is ideal with the Seabus connection to Vancouver city a short walk away. I especially appreciated the views across the sea inlet of the Vancouver skyline and watching the ships pass by. Thank you, Tanya, Ani and Ollie.

Perfect!
What a wonderful house-sit I had at Tanya's stylish, comfortable place. I had the good fortune to be there in February, and with snow and frost outside I was so cosy snuggled up in the evenings. And what a perfect location! From the doorstep views of the mountains (the ski runs twinkled at dusk) and woodland walks just round the corner, to the city stores bustling harbour and ferry crossing within walking distance. Exciting locations within easy reach by bus - Capilano Bridge, Whistler, numerous cultural centres and heritage sites. I ventured out to Vancouver Island on the sea-plane as well as hopping on the boat to Nanaimo, all do-able in a day and without the need for a car! Tanya's sociable, welcoming friends were contactable when needed for advice, company on a woodland walk or the occasional meal and chat over a glass of wine. But I'll save the best 'til last - Tanya and Cali themselves! Tanya is a thoughtful, caring and trusting home-owner. Meeting her was a total bonus and she made me feel so welcome and relaxed right away - so many little kindnesses she showed that made the stay so so easy and memorable. And what can I tell you about Cali, the cutest fur-ball ever! A cat full of personality and a dream to care for. Great company. We spent many a night side by side on the sofa, me with my travel guides planning the next day and Cali sitting on my maps purring away! I honestly loved every aspect of Tanya's house-sit and cannot recommend it highly enough. As I said in the title, just perfect ??
