Chiko has arthritis so is not allowed to run. (Galgos have no sense of when enough is enough, and do not come to call if busy with "zoomies". If he is loose, he actually runs so much he squeaks with pain afterwards.) Conchi can be loose in the garden.

I am looking for an animal lover (or couple) to look after my galgo (Chiko) and my Jack Russell (Conchi), both aged now but still utterly adorable.
The main responsibilities are giving the dogs one good walk a day, as well as feeding and administering their medication. Chiko (the gakgo) needs a tablet and drops twice a day, and he is no problem. Conchi (the Jack) needs a tablet once a day, and she is a little less easy. There are also a few pot plants that will want watering.
The single-storey house is in a quiet rural location, the nearest neighbour (friendly farm) being about 200m away. It is perfect for nature watching or just relaxing in the heart of the countryside. The nearest town (Trie sur Baïse) is about 8km away. Trie has a good market on Tuesdays as well as a good boulangerie/pâtisserie. There is a good supermarket, DIY place and large Pharmacie just outside Trie. Our vet (whom I hope you will not need) is in Trie.
The countryside around is farmland, with wooded hills on either side. There are villages and towns worth visiting within easy reach, as well as other places of interest.
There is television and good WiFi (fibre). I have replaced the open fire (as in one of photos) with a woodburner (as in the photo of the 'firedog'!) as it is far more efficient.
Cooking is bottled gas. The electric oven is never used for cooking - too big so too expensive. But it is ideal for hiding food from prying noses.
A car is essential as I am not within walking distance of any amenities.
If you are looking for state-of-the-art luxury, it is not for you. If you like rural simplicity, you should be well pleased.
I should also like references, if possible, and copies of valid passports. Thanks!
Non-smoker(s) preferred as I do not allow smoking inside the house. (You are welcome to smoke outside though, if necessary.)
No, sorry.
