2 Katzen, drei Ponys

Beautiful cozy home overlooking the sea
When I arrived in Preveza in the middle of the night by bus, hours later than expected, Nicole was there, patiently waiting for me at the bus station to pick me up. She took me to the little apartment, close to her own minivilla, as she lovingly calls it, and I instantly fell in love with it. It has everything you need, but the most fantastic thing is the garden and the view, overlooking the Amvrakia Gulf, one of the most extensive wetlands in the region. Nicole is always nearby in case you need anything, and it was a joy to occasionally drop by her place to help her out with her animals or to catch up for a chat. Sometimes her cat curiously pops over to say hello, but she is too shy to come in. The location, Michalitsi, is not too far from the shops or from Preveza, but too far to walk or bike. If you want to make the most of your stay and explore the beautiful scenery, you'll need a car. Prices of rental cars are very affordable. Nicole was kind enough to lend hers, but I feel better when I have my own transportation. The apartment has a garden, and for those who like to get active, there is plenty to do, such as weeding the garden or helping Nicole with her horses. If you feel like being lazy and reading all day, the apartment is a blissful retreat that has everything you need. I will definitely go back if there is a chance.

Charming animals in Greece
I had a lovely time looking after Luna, the large Greek Mountain dog, the two cats and three beautiful horses. Nicole lives in a very green part of Greece within 2 minutes walk of the Ambracian Gulf, where you can swim, and an easy 15 minutes drive to the longest beach in Europe. The area has a number of archaeological sites of significance within 10 minutes drive of the property (the Roman town of Nicopolis, a well-preserved Roman theatre and a Museum). The animal feeding tasks only take 30 minutes morning and evening, and then some plant-watering of a few pot-plants. I really enjoyed developing my confidence with the horses especially. They are so sweet, well-behaved and easy to care for. Luna the dog cannot be left alone, which was fine for me, and Nicole is careful to make this clear before the sit is confirmed. I would recommend you arrive a day or two in advance to have a walk through with Nicole if possible. I was lucky enough to stay a few days before and after because of the way my flights worked out and Nicole was able to offer me separate accommodation next door for those days, which was perfect. Nicole's 'mini-villa' is well set up for one (max 2) person and has a lovely decking area with beautiful views of the sea and the countryside. It has everything you need, including an AC unit in the bedroom, fans etc. (it was early summer and hot when I was there). The animals are delightful, Nicole very welcoming and a great host and I loved being able to use her SUV to explore the area. It is a fantastic area for walking and wildlife, especially bird-watching on the Gulf. I drove up into the mountains to a picture-postcard lake to walk and swim and also over to the 'island' of Lefkada, as well as exploring other areas to the south. I would love to come back again in the future.

Personal and Nice Home!
Here in MindMyHouse it seems that these comments follow the person, not the place. And I like to tell about Nicole's lovely home and her pet's. Earlier I told you about Nicole's bigger house where I spent 2 months and had a great time. Now Nicole would like some help with her own animals. She offers her own sweet home as an apartment, with everything you need at home and a big covered terrace to relax. The house is in a good location, only about 150 meters from the sea. The area is quiet and surrounded by nature. There are 2 places to eat nearby. Preveza is close by and can be easily reached by bus or by the car provided by Nicole. Preveza has many shops, cafes and wonderful sandy beaches. Nicole has 2 lovely cats, a dog Luna and 3 horses. All the animals are friendly and you will get along well with them. Please note that since Luna is a big dog, you should have experience with big dogs. However, Luna is a great dog with a warm heart and is really kind. 💖 I really recommend the accommodation to those who are looking for a personal apartment, enjoy the countryside and do not miss the hustle and bustle of the city. Nicole 💖👍
Very big thanks to Nicole. I stayed in the house she offered me for 2 months and I had a great time there. The house is in a nice location, only about 200m from the sea. The house has everything you need for living. The area is quiet, if you are not easily disturbed. During the day there may be a lot of traffic on the main road and in the evenings sometimes dogs and coyotes talk, but the nights are quiet. They dosen't be a problem for me. There are 2 places to eat nearby. Preveza is nearby and you can get there by bus. I also got to the shop in Nicole's car. There is a very helpful tourist information in Preveza, where you can easily ask questions by email, they respond quickly and are friendly. Nicole has 2 lovely cats, Luna the dog and 3 horses. You can meet the animals if you want and they are all friendly. Nicole is a nice and humorous, relaxed hostess, and very caring and helpful. I recommend accommodation to those who enjoy the countryside and don't miss the hustle and bustle of the city.

Adventure with a stunning view
I had the pleasure to meet and care for Nicole's horses and cats. It was an honour to spend time with them, they were very gentle and kind. Nicole's home has a stunning water view and it's perfect for walks in calm and beautiful nature. Local produce is fantastic too!

Beautiful location, happy pets
We had a great time sitting for Nicole. She was an excellent host and even allowed us to use her car and to stay an extra few days until our flight home. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Her dog Kara is so lovely and we had a great time walking her around the local area and on the beach; we especially loved watching the rabbits and guinea pigs roaming free in their own paradise garden! The local area is beautiful with plenty to see and do and we had a fantastic time. We would be happy to return and care for Nicole's pets again any time.
