Friendly folks and sweet cat

Clare was great to sit for. She and her family are very friendly and easy going. Macy the cat is an absolute sweetheart - out and about doing his own thing a lot, but keen for some cuddles once he's realised you're there to stay, and hilariously chatty. Godella is a very safe little community to stay in, the metro is easy and I loved being so close to the huerta for evening walks and cycles. The house has everything you could need, and the patios are a real bonus. Quite hot in the summer, as you would expect, and bedrooms south facing, so you do need to be OK with some heat. A great experience, would happily sit for this family again.

A sweet kitty and a beautiful home in a gorgeous city.

Watching Macy was such a joy. He's one of the sweetest kitties I've ever taken care of. He's affectionate and loving, and we spent lots of days cuddled up on the sofa as I read a book. Communicating with Clare and Steve was great. Steve picked me up from the airport and cooked a wonderful dinner for me the first night that I arrived. I broke their electronic trash can and they were very gracious about it. I replaced it. This home is beautiful, and the neighborhood is eclectic with great little restaurants and picturesque houses. I found the neighborhood noisy at night in the summer (firecrackers and partying), so I struggled with sleeping (I am a light sleeper). Speaking Spanish is helpful as a lot of people in the neighborhood restaurants don't speak English and they weren't fond of Google Translate, which I had to rely on a lot (LOL). There is a tram practically around the corner that goes into the heart of Valencia in 15 minutes. Attractions like Ciudad de a Artes y Ciencias and L'Oceanogràfic are about 45 minutes away by public trans, which is incredibly affordable. There are a lot of fun things to do in Valencia and the surrounding area, so I really enjoyed exploring this pretty city.
