About this assignment
We are looking for a person who can attend our garden and our vegetable garden.
4 Cats, They are often outside and have to be fed twice a day.
They love to stay around you and might sleep in the master bedroom with you.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The sitter will be the house keeper, takes care of our cats and our (vegetable) garden. It is an old house so it is a challenge to keep it clean.
What are the good features of the property and location
It is very nice situated in a green environment. It is an old house with thatched roof and a large (vegetable) garden.
There are only two large bedrooms, both with a double bed.
Old cities are within driving distance: Breda, Dordrecht, Bergen op Zoom and in Belgium: Antwerp.
National Parc : de Biesbosch is also nearby
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We will be gone from May 10-17 2025.
It is an old house and it has its problems now and then.
If you have no car it is a bit difficult to get your groceries and so. A little town is nearby at 4 kms, named Zevenbergen. Public transport; a bus-stop is at 20 minutes walking distance.
There is the possibility to use our bicycles (for males 26 inches)
Can I bring my own pets?

We have been catsitting Bessie last week and this was a really fun experience. The beautiful old house with a thatched roof and a great garden was a joy to take care of. Being back in my apartment I really miss that luscious and tranquil garden. Erik and Han were most welcoming and hospitable and Bessie is amazing. She is very affectionate and slept on our bed most nigths. She is a keen mouser and loves to be petted. The house itself is old but very cosy and quirky. We would definitely catsit here again for short periods. Good coummunication.

Nice family with lovely cats
We felt very welcome in this family. Thank you Han and Erik :) Everything was uncomplicated, we met at the first day of the housesit. The House is very nice and we also loved this area of the netherlands. We had a great time and Love to come back for another housesit.

Homestay August 2018
We enjoyed a two week stay at their countryhouse in the south of Holland. As we are not living not so far away we could meet in advance to get to know each other. All necessary information and details were good documented. The house was spacy and we were free to have some friends/family guests visiting for a few days. A wooden cabin in the back of the garden is usefull for this purpose. It was very good wheather and we lived most outside in their excellent garden. We did jobs in the garden, relaxed and bycicled in the region. Concluding it was a very good experience!!
