they both love people, the cat being probably shy in the beginning but Max, the dog, adores everybody who is nice to him.
Somebody who loves nature, animals and the simple life-style of the Acores. My 2 houses are beautifully located beside a little stream, have a big garden and seaview. The perfect place to take a time-out or to work on a project, writing, painting….
The two main responsiblities are my 9 years old dog Max and 13 years old cat Timida They mainly need loving care. Max loves to walk and to play.Timida lives mainly outside, has a cat-door to come in for feeding and at times to spend the night.
Even though you live here in plain nature and very quietly, the village of Cedros is only 10 minutes away. There you find 2 shops and restaurants. A lovely natural pool is 5 minutes away.
In 30 minutes you are in Horta, our very nice capital with a lively marina and many shops and restaurants.
The weather on the island is very changeable, you may wake up to bright sunshine and get rained on a short time later. The good thing is that bad weather does usually not linger on for a long time. But it can get very stormy at times. My guest house is a beautiful old stone house, it has a small kitchen and a bathroom/toilet, so if you have friends visiting, there is place for them.
The main house has a wooden stove for cozy evenings, should it be a little chilly.
No, sorry.

Loving Max & Timida was a Blessing
Christina's assignment was both emotionally rich and deeply rewarding for me. Not only is Faial Island incredibly beautiful and picturesque in so many ways, getting to love Max the dog and Timida the cat was for me a memorable gift. Both pets are adorable and Max quickly became my loyal and attentive companion throughout the 4 months that I stayed at Christine's sweet and caring home. Timida was always quietly present too and returned home with her grateful purring after adventures outside most of the day... From the onset Christina introduced me to all of her friends and I quickly became part of the family I have met trusted friends for life. Christina's home had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I was very happy and content over the Winter months and early Spring with Max & Timida to keep me company. I can recommend this assignment to anyone who loves animals and who is maybe considering visiting the Azores. Two gentle, soft and sensitive animals on an island that is rich in nature with stunning views everywhere. And I feel to mention the friendly hospitality all over the island from the people who live here. I was welcomed with open arms. This was a very special and unique assignment for me... I will be forever grateful for this experience... Love Sinead x
