About this assignment

I am going away for about a week in early September. Dates not set yet.
My dogs are very laid back and easy to handle. They love attention and also their walks, I have 2 golden retriever dogs, one is 4 yrs old and the other 5 years old. .Both are female and who are related.
I am looking for a couple who can handle 2 large dogs.
They love the car and travelling so just taking them to the beach and coastal walks is something they are very used to. A car is essential as I live in a fairly rural location, but the beach is only a 10 minute drive.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Looking after the dogs and walking them twice a day.
Giving them their meals twice daily.
Not leaving them in the house for more than 3 hrs. Sticking to their routine of a walk first thing and in the afternoon..
Giving them lots of cuddles!!!....

What are the good features of the property and location

I am situated 2 miles from the sea at Perranuthnoe and close to town as well as country.
My house is quite rural but within walking distance to the village shop and pubs.
Supermarkets are about a 10 minute drive with a small Co op 5 minutes away.
Cornwall in the spring is stunning with many beaches and local areas to visit in West Cornwall .

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

A car is fairly essential
The location is West Cornwall
The dogs should be the main consideration and time devoted to them.
Experience with large dogs essential, preferably golden retrievers.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.

House & Dog Sit Cornwall October 2020

Jan was a great host, making sure we were happy with the accommodation and details for Gracie's care as an elderly dog. It was not an easy time what with Covid and Scooby her other elderly dog passing away a week before the sit started. But all people involved acted safely and responsibly to ensure the sit was not spoiled in any way. The house was full of character and all areas were made available to ensure we felt at home and had all details of any local services we might need. The sit went well and we kept in touch via WhatsApp every few days for peace of mind. Gracie was no bother at all and many cliff and beach walks were enjoyed by all. We were not ushered out at the end of the sit and were made to feel we could call in at any time if in the area in the future. We would recommend this host unreservedly
